Study Of Colour Evolution In Commercial Historic Districts Of Guangzhou From Contextualism

In today’s rapid development of urbanization around the world,but at the same time,urban colors are mixed,lack of integrity,and cities are uniform without obvious regional characteristics in general,how to find the cultural system of the city and correctly guide the urban colors has become a problem for many scholars to think about.Guangzhou,as a thousand-year-old historical and cultural city with many historical and cultural neighborhoods,has many historical buildings and historical landscapes,and the historical relics in the urban color of its historical neighborhoods will certainly leave us rich historical information.How to systematically analyze the historical nature of its landscape,how to comprehensively sort out its color characteristics,analyze its intrinsic cultural connotation and evolution,and find the local color genes and sustainable development strategies,we need to use the help of cultural theory.The theory of cultural context emphasizes the interconnection between various elements.In this paper,we will take the color of Guangzhou’s commercial historical district as the research object,and introduce the connotation of contextualism theory into the color research,using the emphasis on the whole,time and space in contextualism theory system,and building the science and rigor of color research with the characteristics of wholeness,ephemerality and co-temporality,paying attention to the explicit and implicit contextual elements,and exploring and sorting out the color of Guangzhou’s commercial historical district in a holistic and continuous manner.We explore and sort out the colors of Guangzhou’s commercial and historical districts in a holistic and continuous manner.The study focuses on the interrelationship between the elements of the color system,the elements of the cultural lineage system,the color system and the cultural lineage system,and the interrelationship between the color expression and its inner cultural connotation.Based on the fact that the city itself is a complex system and urban color is a comprehensive science,this paper integrates various disciplines such as urban and rural planning,architecture and human geography,as well as theories such as cultural lineage theory and color theory,in order to conduct a comprehensive and integrated analysis of the color of Guangzhou’s historic districts.The first part is to explain the background of this paper,define the object and scope of the study,clarify the significance and purpose of the study,and explain the basic theories of contextualism and color theory,and discuss the progress of related research at home and abroad.The second part of the paper is to sort out the color dynamics of Guangzhou’s commercial historic districts,and to analyze which of the explicit and implicit cultural elements are the driving and shaping forces of its color system.In the third part,based on the perspective of cultural lineage,we analyze the color of Guangzhou’s commercial historic districts in a holistic,ephemeral and co-temporal way,revealing its overall color characteristics and summarizing its color mechanism and evolution.The fourth part is based on the perspective of cultural continuity,and elaborates on the suggestions of color conservation and inheritance in Guangzhou’s commercial historic districts from the perspective of cultural continuity.
