Research On China,Japan And South Korea Energy Cooperation Under The Background Of Regional Integration

As an important part of national security,energy plays an important role in national development,especially in the economic field.As an important economy in Northeast Asia,China,Japan and South Korea have been developing rapidly in the past two decades.As a major energy importer and consumer,China,Japan and South Korea are committed to energy cooperation in the context of regional integration while formulating and implementing their own energy strategies.Its main purpose is to stabilize energy supply and improve energy efficiency in manufacturing.This paper mainly starts from four parts,the first part mainly expounds the basic theory of regional integration and the current situation of regional integration organizations in which China,Japan and South Korea participate.There are three basic theories selected in this paper,one is new functionalism.The core idea of this theory is that economic cooperation will inevitably lead to the formation of regional integration.At the same time,functional spillover effect will inevitably lead to political elite from economic cooperation to political cooperation.Second,realism,the theory attaches great importance to the role of power,interests and competition among the three.Third,constructivism,this theory mainly expounds two points,one is that its ontology is social,the other is that actors and structures are mutually constructed.Secondly,the paper expounds the integration achievements of China,Japan and South Korea in East Asia,including APEC,RCEP and the Sino-Japanese and South Korean Free Trade Area.The second part analyzes the current situation and motivation of China,Japan and South Korea energy cooperation under the background of regional integration.First of all,the present situation of China,Japan and South Korea cooperation is stated,and the present situation of cooperation is analyzed in order to lay a realistic foundation for the conception of the energy prospects of China,Japan and South Korea three countries.Secondly,the motivation of energy cooperation between China,Japan and South Korea is explained,mainly from four aspects: first,China,Japan and South Korea are both major energy importers and consumers;second,the three countries face the same threat to energy security;third,China,Japan and South Korea have been facing the problem of Asian premium,cooperation can effectively alleviate the Asian premium and regain the power of energy pricing;fourth,the most important reason for energy cooperation is to promote the development of regional economic integration.The third part mainly analyzes the obstacles encountered in China,Japan and South Korea energy cooperation under the background of regional integration,which are mainly manifested in the complex geopolitical environment,the lack of political mutual trust,the factors of the United States and its foreign powers,and the lack of mature and perfect energy cooperation mechanism.Through the overview of the above part,the fourth part of this paper analyzes the prospects of energy cooperation between China,Japan and South Korea in the context of regional integration.First of all,in the field of traditional energy,there will be competition in the short term,but with the deepening of regional integration,this competition situation is expected to weaken.In the field of new energy,the cooperation prospect of the three countries will be bright,the new energy itself is the focus of the three countries and the field of cooperation,secondly,in the context of regional integration,the cooperation between the three countries is expected to deepen.
