Research On Traditional Settlement System Based On Cultural Regionalization

Traditional settlements are the products of continuous accumulation and superimposition of natural landscapes under the guidance of human consciousness.They are influenced by the interaction of cultural environment and natural environment in the process of development,and gradually become cultural landscapes with regional characteristics.In this process,human beings are the shapers,culture is the invisible hand,physical geography is the carrier of activities,and settlement is the result.Several elements interact to form a complex system.With the continuous acceleration of the urbanization process in recent years,traditional settlements are facing opportunities and challenges.In the future,whether to protect or transform and renew,and what should be retained and updated are currently many topics of discussion.In recent years,there have been more and more researches related to traditional settlements.Based on the study of cultural zoning,it focuses on the role of culture,and studies the closely connected settlement system under the influence of the same culture.It is helpful to explore the influence of culture and geography on the formation and development of settlements,and can better predict and guide future development,so that it can continue to develop under the traditional context.The research object of this article is Baisha Town,Lijiang.Through combing and summarizing the research literature of the cultural area and related settlements,combining the analysis methods of related disciplines,conducting detailed field investigations and investigations to obtain basic research materials.Starting from the formation mechanism and growth mode of traditional settlements,firstly,it studies its historical culture and development context from the perspective of time,divides the main development periods and summarizes the development direction and characteristics of each period.Then from the present situation of the Baisha Township settlement system’s constituent elements,spatial characteristics,cultural connotation and other characteristics of the research,mainly from the three objects of village,residential,and external environment,to find out the main factors that caused the objects to appear in this way.Combined with the actual prediction of the future development model and transformation of Baisha Town in a specific cultural area,the development focus and ideas are put forward.
