The development direction of the manufacturing industry in today’s society is toward the trend of globalization,intelligence and virtualization.As an effective means of fusion of the physical world and the information world,digital twin technology plays a pivotal role in realizing the virtualization of the manufacturing industry.Simulating and optimizing the production process of an enterprise in the virtual world through digital twin technology helps to reduce trial and error costs in the design and development process and improve development efficiency.In this article,the digital twin technology is applied to workshop operation simulation and monitoring.It provides data analysis and evaluation capabilities for workshop production and to a certain extent solves the full-view monitoring of workshop production status and parameters.This application provides some new ideas for the future workshop production management mode.The research work of this article is mainly reflected in the following aspects:(1)The overall design of workshop operations and simulation system based on digital twins: Analyze the current workshop problems in production planning,production status monitoring,equipment early warning,etc.,and put forward that the system design goal is to achieve full-view monitoring of the workshop,early warning of possible failures in the workshop,and analysis and management of production data.Secondly,the design principles and overall framework of the system are proposed,which provide requirements and technical support for realizing the workshop operation simulation and monitoring system based on digital twins.Finally,according to the structure of the digital twin model,the system modules are divided.The system is divided into data acquisition module,virtual system module and system service module.(2)The overall realization of the workshop operation and simulation system based on digital twins: For the data acquisition module,analyze the data source of the workshop and divide the data types,and realize the real-time transmission of the dynamic data of the workshop based on the OPC UA protocol.In the virtual system module,the modeling work of the workshop entity is jointly completed through 3d Max,Unity3 D and other software.In the construction of the virtual scene,the collision detection method based on implicit function is adopted for the collision detection of the cutting tools in the CNC machine tool equipment in the three-dimensional scene.And at the end of the modeling work,under the premise of not affecting the system function,the model is lightweighted by reducing the number of meshes and vertices of the model.In the system service module,the movement of the virtual model is driven by the C# script to realize the simulation of the workshop production operation,and the movement of the robot arm in the workshop is introduced as an example.Use Unity3D’s GUI visual component to complete the system UI interface construction,and realize the function of visual analysis and management of workshop data.Early warning of abnormal temperature by collecting data from the temperature sensor on the device.(3)The test of the workshop operation and simulation system based on digital twins: Introduced the test environment of the system and the type and model of test equipment.Perform parameter configuration before system testing,and then perform performance testing and functional integrity testing on the shop floor simulation and monitoring system.The performance test results show that the system’s dependence on hardware resources meets the design requirements,the functional tests show the completeness of the system functions,and the interface display experience reaches the expected goal.The system designed in this paper can be used in scenarios such as function demonstrations.
