In recent years,China’s metro market has developed rapidly.As the designer and manufacturer of metro vehicles,metro OEMs(Original Equipment Manufacturers)also face many development opportunities and challenges.The bogie is the key component of metro vehicles,and its mainstream design method is customized design driven by customer demand.In years of bogie design work,metro OEMs have accumulated a large number of differentiated product examples,but lacks the analysis of the commonness and difference between the existing products and their demands,resulting in low reuse rate of product design,lack of effective accumulation of research and development knowledge,long research and development cycle and low efficiency.Product configuration design is a method for generating customized products from configurable units defined in historical design materials by selecting and combining driven by the customer’s personalized needs.It has the ability to meet customer diversity needs,shorten product design cycles,and reduce the total cost of the enterprise.So,it can be used in the new form of bogie design.However,the differences of metro bogies caused by different customer demands are not only reflected in different functions,but also the same functions are realized by different technical principles.The traditional way of encapsulating the functions and structures of products in the same configuration unit cannot meet this requirement.Therefore,this paper takes the metro bogie as the research object,and proposes the two-stage configuration design technology based on function,technical principle and structure decoupling.The main contents are as follows:(1)The sales BOM and EBOM of the existing metro bogies were analyzed,and based on these BOM data,the requirements,technical indicators and structural of the existing metro bogie products were analyzed from the perspective of commonality and difference.Based on this,the research framework and technical route of the full text research was constructed.(2)The method of configuration modeling of metro bogie based on function,technical principle and structural decoupling was studied.Firstly,the configuration modeling framework was determined based on the axiomatic design and FBS theory.Sesondly,the mapping of customer requirements to product level configuration characteristics in configuration feature model was realized based on the QFD method.Then,the traditional GBOM model was extended and the bogie extended GBOM model was constructed to realize the mapping of bogie function to technical principle and concrete examples.Finally,configuration rules were constructed to realize the integration of the bogie configuration model.(3)The two-stage configuration solution process of metro bogie functions,technical principles and specific examples driven by multi-dimensional requirements was studied.In the first stage,the relative weight of customer requirements was determined through FAHP,and the mapping of customer requirements to product-level configuration characteristics in the configuration feature model was implemented based on the QFD method.Then the configuration of function units and technical units in the extended GBOM model was completed based on configuration rules,and the technical units combination schemes were evaluated based on the VIKOR method to obtain the best scheme;the second stage completed the mapping of product-level configuration features to module-level configuration features in the configuration feature model based on parameter mapping rules,and established a combination optimization model,and then the example module combination scheme with the lowest sum of purchase cost and maintenance cost in extended GBOM was solved by genetic algorithm.(4)Based on the above research,a prototype system for metro bogie configuration design was developed.The requirements of the system were analyzed,and the architecture and main functional modules of the system were designed.Finally,the feasibility of the full-text method and the construction system was verified with examples.In this paper,a two-stage configuration design method for metro bogie based on function,technical principle and structural decoupling was studied,so that the configured products can not only quickly meet the needs of diversified customers,but also achieve the lowest sum of purchase cost and maintenance cost.
