With the acceleration of urbanization, the length of rail transit lines continues to increase, and the demand for long-distance commuting is increasing.Cities need to adopt Express/Local operation to provide long-distance commuting services and ensure passenger travel efficiency. In addition, because the train stops fewer times in Express/Local operation,it means less acceleration and deceleration.Compared with the traditional Local operation, the energy consumption of train traction is reduced. Therefore,it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on Express/Local operation.Firstly, this paper summarize the related concepts of Express/Local operation, and focus on the spatial and temporal distribution of passenger flow in urban rail transit. It is pointed out that when the distribution of boarding counts and on/off counts is relatively non-equilibrium,and there is large proportion of long distance travel passengers along the urban rail transit lines, the Express/Local operation can be considered.Secondly, this paper analyzes the operating characteristics, based on this, combined with the optimal control strategy of train energy-saving operation,an optimized model for train energy-saving operation is established and a particle swarm algorithm is designed to solve it.Thirdly, considering the distribution of overtaking stations and the types of starting and terminal point to calculate the route selection probability of various passengers, based on the calculation model of train operation energy consumption,an optimization model of Express/Local stop plans considering energy consumption and running time is established, and a genetic nesting algorithm is designed to solve it.Finally, this paper extracts the characteristics of the OD data of case lines to analyze the characteristics of the boarding counts,on/off counts and average distance of the case line. Then, based on the optimization model established in Chapter 3 and Chapter 4,the Express/Local stop plan, the overtaking plan, and the train running curve are solved. Finally, the influencing factors of the Express/Local operation are analyzed. The results show that considering the energy consumption of the Express/Local stop plan, the driving curve and the stop plan can be optimized collaboratively. The Express/Local operation can save passengers’ travel time by 11935 min during peak hours, and can also reduce train operation energy consumption by 6556kw/h.
