The rapid spread and expansion of modern cities in the context of incremental development has accelerated the contradiction between urban and rural development,which is contrary to the new development concept and urgently needs control and transformation.The in-depth advancement of new urbanization provides an effective path for the city’s high-quality development,and also points out the direction for the change of urban-rural relations.The urban fringe area,as an area where urban and rural elements penetrate each other,presents the dual characteristics of urban and rural areas in terms of population and land use,industry and economy,organization and management.The neglected key areas are also strategic areas for promoting new urbanization and rural revitalization practices,which have important academic and practical significance for their research.In recent years,the research on the urban fringe areas in China has been increasing day by day,and the research content is mainly concentrated on the spatial evolution,land use,sustainable development and other aspects of the fringe areas,which are mostly carried out in the context of incremental development.The development of fringe areas lacks systematic exploration;in terms of research objects,most scholars mainly focus on industrial areas and new urban areas supported by urban strategies,mainly in the marginal areas of typical large cities,while those with active urbanization and outstanding urban and rural development issues There is a lack of relevant research in the fringe areas of small and medium-sized cities.This paper takes the marginal areas of small and medium-sized cities as the research object,focuses on the transformation mechanism and development model of the marginal areas,and discusses the transformation and development of the marginal areas of small and medium-sized cities under the background of new urbanization.Article mainly divides into four parts,the first part is the definition and theoretical research,on the city fringe area and suburbs,integration of urban and rural areas,such as urbanrural ecotone and distinguishes the concept,the basic theory related to the development of urban fringe area on the basic,for small and medium-sized city fringe area development research provides the theoretical support,at the same time,on the basis of summarizing existing fringe area division method,based on the POI data to determine the scope of this article in the edge of the city divided method;Evolution mechanism and characteristics of the second part is focused on small and medium-sized cities in our country the historical development and space evolution process of the edge area,divides into the edge of space evolution stage of agricultural civilization,industrial culture and ecological civilization,the internal and external two aspects from the city reveals the dynamic mechanism of fringe area space evolution,summarizes the basic characteristics of the edge of the city development and the diversity and uniqueness of metropolitan fringe area,and through the analysis of current problems of development of marginal zone,demonstrates the necessity of the transformation of development;The third part is the mode of innovation and the path to explore,based on the new urbanization background,starting from the edge of the area development momentum,the development of small and medium-sized city fringe area transformation is analyzed the logical relationship,and combined with the new requirements of the urban and rural development and connotation of urban fringe district,the transformation of development mode of the edge area,small and medium-sized cities built from industry at the same time,space and social three aspects proposed the small and medium-sized city fringe area transformation development path;The fourth part studies for the transformation practice,apply theory research results to dangtu,combining with project practice,the edge area of dangtu city space evolution and present situation has carried on the research and analysis,judgment,under the background of new urbanization Dang Tu,new environment and transformation mechanisms in the edge of the city development,and proposed the urban fringe area of Dang Tu transformation in the development of new pattern and new path.
