With the rapid development of China’s economy,highway tunnel construction has been developing rapidly in recent years.For the highway tunnel,the improvement of the tunnel lighting quality can greatly improve the tunnel traffic safety,so as to improve the safety quality of the entire road network.At present,the design of highway tunnel lighting system mainly focuses on functional design to meet the demand of road illumination,without considering the addition of humanized lighting design,which is not enough to alleviate the visual fatigue of drivers in the process of driving.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the special light belt design of highway tunnel.The paper first analyzes the characteristics of the traffic environment inside the tunnel,then analyzes the impact of environmental illumination and color temperature on drivers based on the characteristics of human vision,and discusses the influence factors of visual health comfort on visual fatigue.Secondly,the design schemes of three special lighting belts are analyzed and compared,and the pavement illumination is determined as the evaluation index.The relationship between traffic volume and illumination,illumination and driver’s visual comfort,visual comfort treatment method,visual comfort and visual fatigue value,and visual fatigue and time was calculated and analyzed for the length of special light belt in highway tunnel.The wavelet neural network algorithm is used to predict the traffic volume in the tunnel,and then the illumination value of each section of the lighting system is calculated.The relationship between illumination and visual comfort is studied by the physiological law of weber-fechner.The normalization method of min-max data was used to deal with the visual comfort value.The linear negative correlation between visual fatigue and visual comfort was determined.The variation law of visual function parameters BCDVA and physiological signal GSR which have the main influence on visual fatigue with time is analyzed,and the relation between visual fatigue and time is calculated by using the weight of both.Finally,the appropriate visual comfort value is selected to judge whether the driver is visual fatigue or not.By making full use of the idea of integration,the relevant length calculation formula of special light zone is obtained.Based on the actual tunnel,the validity of the calculation theory of special light band length is verified.Select the appropriate lighting equipment,determine its control mode,use the lighting simulation software DIALux evo to model and calculate the lighting of traditional lighting design and special lighting belt respectively,compare and analyze the illumination of different sections of the road,verify whether the special lighting belt design meets the requirements of road illumination and its safety.The research shows that the theoretical calculation of the length of special light strip in highway tunnel is reasonable.Under certain economic conditions of highway tunnel operation,the design of special light belt can not only meet the demand of road illumination,but also effectively relieve drivers’ visual fatigue,increase driving comfort,and thus reduce the incidence of traffic safety accidents,which can also provide reference for highway tunnel lighting design.
