Traffic congestion has become the bottleneck of urban traffic development,and vigorously developing public transportation is an effective way to solve traffic congestion.As an important part of public transportation,the conventional bus is often affected by factors such as operating environment,which led to bus bunching.Bus bunching causes problems which has led to a decrease in the share of public transport year by year,such as poor on-time rate,long waiting time for passengers,poor service quality,low service level,etc.Bus bunching is contrary to the current era of developing bus.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the mechanism of the bus bunching and the corresponding control process.Firstly,this paper takes the 600 bus routes in Xi’an as the research object,and use the headway time as the research index.By processing the GPS data,the similarities and differences of the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of the headway on working days and non-working days are analyzed.Meanwhile,determining the influencing factors of the bus bus bunching by qualitative method and quantitative method,and the operation mechanism model of the bus bunching is constructed based on the influencing factors.Secondly,simulating the model by Matlab,to discuss the trend of the headway when various influencing factors which is in congestion state present different distribution along the route under congestion.Thirdly,based on the K-means clustering analysis method,this paper divides the operation state of the bus running into five states,and finds the control threshold basing means of the dichotomy.Finally,combining the control threshold and common control strategies of bus bunching,the bus train control process is designed.It is found that in term of the level of spatial and temporal distribution characteristics,there is no obvious difference in the temporal and spatial distribution of the bus headway between working days and non-working days,but there is a numerical value of non-working days greater than working days.In term of the level of influencing factors,the speed difference between buses,queuing time difference between stations,queuing time difference between intersections and boarding time between stations has the most significant impact on the headway,especially the speed difference between buses.In term of the level of the impactof the distribution of congested road sections on the headway,the longer the length of the congested road Longer or on the premise of the same length of the same section,the more concentrated the congested sections or the shorter the congested overlapping sections,the greater change in the headway,and vice versa.In term of the control level,the idea of dichotomy is used to obtain the interval value the transition to the bus bunching or the large gaps under different probabilities P.In this paper,the distribution of the headway distance,the model of the mechanism of the bus bunching and the control process of the conventional bus are studied.The research result of this paper can provide reference and basis for developing the improvement measures of the bus bunching. |
