With the continuous promotion and implementation of many domestic new energy vehicle policies,coupled with the encouragement and support of local policies,the popularity of new energy vehicles has increased,followed by the steady development of new energy vehicle industry.New energy vehicle is the inevitable choice of sustainable development policy.As the representative of the strength and direction of automobile enterprises and automobile brands,new energy concept vehicle has become the focus of public attention.It is not only the key for the brand to win in the fierce market competition,but also the focus of the academic community to quickly determine the innovative design scheme of the concept car according to the user demand image.This paper focuses on the research of new energy concept vehicle modeling design.First of all,the application of emotional design theory is deeply investigated to understand the theoretical basis and the development status of new energy vehicles.Emotional design is applied to the design of new energy concept vehicles.Through analysis and research,it is concluded that emotional design method is more valuable than traditional design method.Then,through the collection of a large number of pictures and text information of the existing new energy vehicles,research and summarize the rules,and extract the commonness of the new energy concept vehicle modeling direction in the existing market.According to the research content,the emotional images of different new energy concept vehicles are extracted,and the intention words are combined with the modeling of new energy concept vehicles.Finally,according to the above research,the design principles,emotional elements and other multi-directional contents of new energy concept vehicle are summarized,which opens up a new road for the research and development of new energy concept vehicle.In the process of applying emotional design method to car styling design,this paper analyzes the relationship between emotional image and vehicle styling,extracts key emotional words,and carries out emotional design experimental research.According to the survey samples,the commonness is found,which is abstracted into geometric design elements,and SD evaluation is carried out to get the experimental conclusion.In the experiment,SPSS software was used to analyze the mathematical models of emotional image vocabulary of car styling collected by questionnaire survey and individual interview,and to establish the mathematical models of the influence of different styling characteristics on users’ emotional experience.Emotional design is an abstract emotional response,which can be reflected through the concrete mathematical model.It can provide a more intuitive reference for the design of new energy vehicles.Finally,it guides the design cases of new energy vehicles,provides valuable reference for the field of new energy vehicles,and also develops the ideas of designers to provide more theoretical basis for the design.
