With the continuous increase in the number of cars in China,traffic safety problems have emerged one after another,and people are more and more concerned about the safety protection that cars bring to occupants in traffic accidents.Improving safety performance of cars has always been one of the important projects of automotive enterprises,and vehicle crash test is an important means to evaluate the safety performance of the car.The car crash test is a destructive test.A crash dummy equipped with a variety of sensors is used to replace the actual driver and occupant in the crash test,and to detect the degree of injury to the occupants during the car collision,and then evaluate the crash safety performance of the car.Like many countries in the world,China has also formulated corresponding regulations for automotive safety performance testing.Due to various restrictions,the dummy used in the frontal collision regulations is the Hybrid Ⅲ 50th dummy made based on the physical signs of foreigners.Due to the large differences in physical signs between Chinese and foreign humans,the use of Hybrid Ⅲ 50th dummy to assess the safety of Chinese occupants is not accurate enough,and the results have certain deviations.Regarding the issue above,this article analyzes the differences between Chinese and foreign human body signs.Based on the mass and size data of the Chinese human body and Hybrid Ⅲ 50th dummy,the simulation model of the frontal collision male dummy that conforms to the Chinese 50th percentile physical signs is established by zooming.Hereinafter referred to as the Chinese dummy simulation model.The material parameters of the dummy are optimized through material parameter sensitivity analysis,orthogonal experiments and intelligent optimization algorithms,so that the optimized model meets the calibration requirements and verifies the effectiveness of the Chinese dummy simulation model,which provides a reference for the development of Chinese physical dummy.In order to explore the damage situation of Chinese occupants in a frontal collision,using the established Chinese dummy simulation model and Hybrid Ⅲ 50th dummy simulation model,in the built frontal collision restraint system,the frontal collision simulation experiment was carried out according to the regulations.In the experiment,according to the size characteristics of the Chinese dummy,by changing the setting position of the H point of the Chinese dummy,the kinematic response and damage of the two dummy models in a 100% car frontal collision under different working conditions were tested and analyzed.The result show that although the trend of the test curve of each part of the Chinese dummy is similar to that of the Hybrid Ⅲ 50th dummy.However,because the size,weight,and center of mass position of the Chinese dummy is different from the Hybrid Ⅲ 50th dummy,the contact time between the dummy and the airbag is different.Under the same H-point position,the peak index of the head of the Chinese dummy has decreased,but the index peak of the neck,chest and legs increased.It shows that in the frontal collision of the whole vehicle,although the head injury risk of the Chinese dummy is less than that of the Hybrid Ⅲ 50th dummy,the neck,chest and leg injuries are greater than that of the Hybrid Ⅲ 50th dummy.Under the working conditions of changing the position of the H point,compared with the Hybrid Ⅲ 50th dummy,the peak values of the head and neck of the Chinese dummy have decreased.On the contrary,the peaks of the chest and leg indicators rise,and the risk of injury to the chest and legs increases.In summary,the Chinese 50th percentile male dummy and the Hybrid Ⅲ 50th dummy not only have a big difference in body size,but also have different injuries in frontal collisions,which requires more in-depth research,so that the assessment of vehicle safety performance correctly reflects the ability of the vehicle to protect the Chinese.The development of a car crash dummy with Chinese body signs is of great significance to the future research of automobile passive safety.
