| The cost of aeroengine maintenance is an important part of the direct operation cost of flight routes,with the cost of engine overhaul taking up the largest proportion,so airlines attach great importance for monitoring engine shop visit cost.At present,the domestic aeroengine-overhaul capability is very lacking,in addition to a few older models of engines optional for narrow-body aircraft with a certain overhaul capability,the rest of engine models basically need to be sent to foreign manufacturers for overhaul.In recent years,most of the aeroengine overhaul using the power-by-the-hour model,this model is conducive to airline users to control engine maintenance cost,also conducive to aeroengine manufacturers to obtain long-term stable revenue.With the increasing competition in the air transport industry,engine manufacturers are paying more and more attention to the long-term maintenance of engines to bring profits.The power by the hour is mainly that airlines pay the engine contractor according to the number of engine flight hours multiplied by the agreed hourly rate,and the engine contractor is responsible for engine overhaul and maintenance services.Currently power-by-the-hour service is mainly focused on engine manufacturers.This paper will analyse the characteristics of aero-engine PBH,power-by-the-hour base rate,adjustments of the power-by-the-hour rate and annual increases.The paper also analyses the aeroengine maintenance cost which is the core of power-by-the-hour rate,and focuses on the calculation model of the direct maintenance cost of the aeroengine.It is found that the aeroengine power-by-the-hour rate is influenced by the annual utilisation rate,flight segment ratio and thrust reduction rate of the aeroengine fleet,and the degree of influence is similar to the influence on the aeroengine maintenance cost.In addition,the physical environment also has a certain influence on the power-by-the-hour rate.The research in this paper will help airlines to better understand the aero-engine power by the hour and guide them in the correct contracting of power by the hour.The research in this paper can also help domestic civil aircraft and domestic engine manufacturers to understand this advanced service concept,and provide the similar service for its users. |
