Research On Renewal And Reconstruction Of Chongqing Chengjiang Old Street Historical And Cultural Block Based On Catalyst Theory

At present,with the rapid development of China’s urbanization process and the continuous improvement of people’s living needs,the problems of material deterioration,backward facilities,vitality reduction and population loss in historical and cultural blocks have become increasingly prominent.Domestic academic circles began to attach importance to the renewal of historical and cultural blocks.In recent years,more and more scholars have introduced various small-scale progressive renewal theories to study the renewal and transformation of historical and cultural blocks,and achieved good results.As a strategic urban transformation theory that transforms the original elements or introduces new elements,"catalyst theory" has been introduced into the renewal of historical and cultural blocks,which is of great significance to solve the current situation faced by historical and cultural blocks.Its"authenticity" characteristics and small-scale gradual updating methods have strong practical significance for the protection of historical and cultural context.Since the Chengjiang Old Street historical and cultural block in Chongqing was selected as a municipal historical and cultural block in 2019,it has not found a suitable renovation method,and is facing the crisis of broken historical context and diminished vitality.This study takes the historical and cultural blocks of Chengjiang Old Street in Chongqing as the research object,and introduces catalyst theory to study how to properly update and transform the historical and cultural blocks under the historical and cultural protection background.This paper is divided into seven chapters and four parts.The first and second chapters are the summary of the most basic problems,which are the basic exposition of the topic selection background,research purpose and significance,research status at home and abroad,research contents and methods,related concepts of catalyst theory and the field survey of research objects.The third,fourth and fifth chapters are the main achievements of the research.Through comparative analysis and many on-site investigations,the site catalyst elements are extracted from the perspective of physical and non-physical catalyst elements.Combined with case analysis,the integration and reflection methods of non-physical catalyst elements in block renewal and the renewal and transformation methods of physical catalyst elements are proposed to solve the problems of block renewal and transformation methods.The sixth chapter is a design practice of a related practical case of the research problem,which follows the renovation method obtained by the research to guide the design and make a good design demonstration for the renovation of historical and cultural blocks.Finally,the seventh chapter is a summary of the study,trying to show the future development trend of historical and cultural blocks through this study.This paper aims to excavate the cultural connotation of the site,use the renovation of the site elements to activate the surroundings,improve the environmental quality of the block,and bring vitality to the block,so as to achieve the purpose of continuing the history and culture of the block and promoting the sound development of the historical and cultural block.This study provides a new way of thinking for the renovation of historical and cultural blocks,and also provides case reference and technical methods for the renovation of historical and cultural blocks.
