Design And Implementation Of Practical Teaching Interactive System Based On ECDIS Simulator

ECDIS training is a compulsory training course under the STCW convention.ECDIS simulator training can improve the ship’s officer’s ability of ECDIS operation.There are many problems and shortcomings in the traditional practical teaching of ECDIS training.This paper studies the transformation of the existing ECDIS simulator and the development of the practical operation teaching interactive system based on the MTI-E2000 ECDIS simulator.The function of the original simulator was improved and the UI was redesigned by using TCP network communication technology,my SQL database,Tiger VNC and other technologies.Add interactive features such as screen connectivity,student management and online testing.Increase the internet-style communication to enhance students’ interest in learning;Compile the evaluation index system of practical operation teaching and the corresponding test database,those are suitable for new system,add the online real-time testing function to effectively grasp the learning situation of each student.Enhancing the two-way interaction between teaching and learning on the basis of the traditional teaching method can effectively improve the quality of ECDIS practical operation teaching.
