Water is an important material foundation for human to survive and develop.Unsafe drinking water could cause 80%human diseases.For the Three Gorges Reservoir area with a relatively dense population,the source of drinking water is an important part of the entire reservoir water body,which is related to the drinking water health of many residents.Therefore,it is important to ensure the water quality of drinking water meets the standards.The current social and economic conditions in the reservoir area are very difficult to improve the water quality of the current drinking water sources in the reservoir area by controlling the discharge of pollution sources in the upstream and surrounding areas in the short term.Therefore,this study takes the water quality of drinking water source areas in the reservoir area as an important goal,and studies the effect of joint operation of the three gorges reservoir group on the water quality of drinking water source areas in the reservoir area.By summarizing the scheduling methods and principles of the Xi luodu,Xiangjiaba,and Three Gorges reservoirs,as well as the overall situation and the status of the water environment of the drinking water sources in the reservoir area,the safety mechanism of the joint operation of reservoir groups to guarantee the quality of drinking water sources in the reservoir area to meet the standards was proposed.The model suitable for the combined operation of the Three Gorges Reservoir Group on the drinking water source of the reservoir was selected with the help of corresponding hydrodynamic principles.Through the case study of Huangjuedu,Heshangshan,and Fenghuangshan,the joint dispatching plans of the reservoir group which could effectively guarantee the water quality of the drinking water source areas at the reservoir were proposed separately.Based on the above research,it could be known that this research could promote the safety of drinking water in the Three Gorges Reservoir and the healthy and sustainable development of the Yangtze River Basin.It also could provide technical guidance and decision support for ensuring the safety of drinking water.Futhermore,it also could provide a reference for the research on the water quality of other reservoir drinking water sources in China.It has important research significance and practical significance.
