The Influence Of Subversive Innovation On Automobile Industry

Global economic integration is the current trend.International markets have been gradually dominated by transnational corporations in some developed countries,with technological superiority and mature business models,and occupying high-value production links.For late-developing companies to develop,they will face strong technical barriers and market disadvantages.Various factors will make it difficult for late-developing enterprises at the low end of the value chain to break through the low-end lock-in,and it is difficult to leapfrog to high-value production links.Disruptive innovation is a theoretical tool that guides late-comers to cut into emerging markets,take advantage of their own differentiated advantages,and compete with mature companies.New energy vehicles are emerging industries with subversive innovation attributes.They have been listed as a strategic development status in China.They are a good opportunity for China to achieve overtaking in corners in the national pillar industry,the automobile industry.How to explore a subversive innovation path that suits China’s national conditions is very important for latecomers to achieve "curve overtaking".This paper uses the method of literature research,multi case study and comparative analysis to analyze the impact of disruptive innovation on the whole industry from the perspective of industrial chain,technology,business model,etc.First of all,this paper expounds subversive innovation and its related theories,defines the scope of subversive innovation,and explores the difference between subversive innovation and traditional innovation.Secondly,from the perspective of the whole industry,this paper analyzes the market change and policy role of the automobile industry,the change and trend of the industrial chain,and the impact of technology and business model.Secondly,this paper takes Tesla and BYD as examples to analyze the enterprise level impact of disruptive innovation,and compares the two companies’ disruptive innovation.Finally,the paper puts forward the research conclusions and suggestions for the existing new energy vehicle enterprises and industry policies.The research conclusions of this paper are as follows: first,the electric vehicle industry is the future and trend of the development of the automobile industry;second,the electric vehicle industry will promote the transformation of the automobile industry to intelligent,networked and electronic;third,Chinese enterprises should grasp the opportunity of the automobile industry reform.The innovation of this paper lies in: first,at present,the research on disruptive innovation rarely studies the impact of disruptive innovation from the perspective of the industry,and this paper expounds the impact of the development of late developing enterprises from all aspects of the industry.Second,at present,the research on new energy vehicles generally only studies its realization path from one market segment.This paper compares Tesla and BYD,which enter from different market segments.Thirdly,the paper analyzes the strategy of the incumbent enterprises in the disruptive innovation,which is almost absent in the previous research on disruptive innovation.
