As one of the largest joint ventures for vehicles electronic components in China,U company has to occupy new market while maintaining its present gasoline market during the revolution of the whole industry.In order to realize the strategy of U company,it needs to carry out its strategic objectives from management level to each staff,and to achieve rapid SOP and profit target through high-quality project management.Therefore,in order to enhance the company’s project competitiveness,the project management organization of U company has implemented several changes,and set up a new position of program manager.The company expects program managers can manage projects more comprehensively with the company strategy,integrate and achieve the revenue objectives,and contribute to the continuous innovation of the organization.However,there is a big gap between the performance of the program manager and the expectations of the organization.This paper takes U company’s program manager position as the research object,reviews the job design theory,motivation theory and project management theory,and introduces the creativity model,job characteristics model and project management organization maturity model.Through the analysis on the existing working problems,the interview with senior employees,and the research of the job content,responsibilities and power distribution,working relationship and motivation method,,and finds out the six aspects of the program manager unreasonable job design.Finally,combined with relevant theories and knowledge and benchmarked with F company,proposes a job redesign plan from the perspective of work integrity,autonomy,feedback,importance,skill diversity and personal career development plan,and provides suggestions for the countermeasures to deal with difficulties during job redesign implementation. |
