Research On The Impact Of High Speed Rail On The Development Of My Country’s Tourism

The transportation industry is a key factor influencing the development of the tourism system.The development of the transportation industry directly affects the tourist consumption of tourists,which in turn affects the level of regional economic income.With the demand of residents for high-quality travel,high-speed railway is becoming a first choice for more and more people as a convenient tourist transportation.Since the opening of the high-speed railway,because of its convenient transportation hub status,it has formed convenient transportation conditions,which has led to profound changes in China’s tourism consumer market and destination construction.The traditional tourism pattern will be broken.The development of China is undoubtedly a major challenge and opportunity.In addition,as an industry with a high degree of correlation,tourism can rely on its own development to drive the development of other industries,and it has an important contribution to the increase in the income of our residents.Therefore,an in-depth analysis of China’s tourism economic development relationship with the opening of high-speed railways,grasping the historical opportunities brought by the opening of high-speed railways,and actively seeking new tourism development models have far-reaching significance for China’s tourism economic development.This article selects 13 provinces in China as the main body of the study,and analyzes in depth the impact of the opening of the high-speed rail on the development of tourism.It mainly includes two sub-problems: one is the analysis of the impact of the opening of the high-speed rail on China’s tourism income,and the other is the impact of the opening of the high-speed rail on the travel rate of our residents.Through empirical research,this article summarizes the main contents and conclusions of the analysis into the following aspects:First,it verifies that the high-speed railway has a significant influence on the development of the tourism industry of the research subject.In this paper,the use of high-speed rail as a dummy variable is multiplied by the selected indicators,and a model is constructed to compare the impact of tourism economic development in selected provinces before and after the high-speed rail is opened.Second,taking the tourism income at the provincial level as the research object,the dynamic impact of the opening of the high-speed rail on tourism income is analyzed by constructing a VAR model.The study found that the opening of high-speed rail has a dynamic impact on tourism income;first of all,the unit root testof variables was found to be non-stationary,and the difference was found to be stationary,and the cointegration test found that there is a long-term equilibrium relationship between variables;According to the results of AIC and SC and the robustness test,it is found that the model is the best when it lags the fourth period.Further analysis of the dynamic impact of the mutual impact between the opening of high-speed rail and tourism revenue.The opening of high-speed rail can have a certain role in promoting tourism revenue in the short term,but it has a lagging effect on tourism revenue.Third,based on the provincial travel rate of residents,the Tobit panel regression model was constructed to analyze the impact of high-speed rail on the travel rate of residents.The study found that before the high-speed railway opened,the attraction of scenic spots,the prices of tourist products and services in tourist destinations,the number of travel agencies,and the number of star-rated hotels had a small coefficient of influence on tourism income.The impact on the tourism rate of residents shows that after the opening of the HSR,it has a significant effect on the tourism rate of residents.
