Abundant Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement(RAP)has been generating in the process of maintenance and reconstruction of asphalt pavement.The utilization of rejuvenator is an effective way to restore its performance.Recently,with the enhancement of environmental protection awareness,people have carried out the exploration of renewable asphalt from vegetable oil.Different vegetable oils have different properties.Therefore,they need to be studied separately.Tung oil,native to China,has high oil yield,environmental protection,regeneration and good compatibility with asphalt.So this paper selects tung oil(T)as the rejuvenating agent to rejuvenate two kinds of aged asphalt(Pen70 aged asphalt(refered as 70a)and SBS modified aged asphalt(refered as SBSa)),and uses waste edible oil(W)as another rejuvenating agent for comparison,focusing on the analysis and research of the use performance of tung oil rejuvenated asphalt and its mixture.The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly,the conventional and rheological properties of 70a and SBSa with different content of T and W were tested.The results showed that after adding T and W to the aged asphalt,the penetration and ductility increased,the softening point and viscosity decreased,and the above changes were more significant with the increase of the content,and the indexes of 70a+6T(W)and SBSa+4T(W)basically recovered;the addition of T and W significantly improved the low temperature performance and PG(Performance Grading)of the aged asphalt.But T and W will weaken the stability and quality of asphalt at high temperature.However,the fitting value of zero shear viscosity shows that controlling the content of T and W can guarantee its high temperature performance,which is equivalent to the original asphalt.Considering the regeneration effect of T and W,it is suggested that with the dosage of 6%of T or W are the best for 70a,with the dosage of 4%of T or W are the best for and SBSa.Then,the functional group composition and microstructure of the original,aged,rejuvenated asphalt and T and W were analyzed by FTIR,and the mechanism of the interaction between T and W and asphalt was explored.The results show that the IC=Oand IS=Ostrength index of asphalt are increased after aging,and the content of T and W can be diluted for 70a,but there is no same effect on SBSa.The new peak is produced at 1745cm-1,because there are a lot of carboxylic acids in T and W.At the same time,T has more aromatics,compounds and plastics than W,which shows that T has better compatibility with asphalt and better ability to improve toughness,plasticity and plastic deformation of asphalt.Finally,the preferred content of tung oil and waste edible oil rejuvenated asphalt mixtures 70a+6T(W)and SBSa+4T(W)were used as the test group,and the 70 asphalt and SBS modified asphalt mixture as the control group.The results show that the performance of the test group is not significantly different from that of the control group,and most of the performance of the former is better.In addition,it is found that the high and low temperature performance,water stability,anti-aging performance and water stability of the tung oil recycled asphalt mixture are better than those of the waste edible oil recycled asphalt mixture,but the fatigue performance needs to be further improved.
