With the continuous development of transportation in our country,the performance of asphalt pavement materials has been put forward higher requirements.Once the service life of asphalt pavement exceeds,a large number of waste asphalt mixtures are produced while maintaining and repairing the asphalt pavement.Therefore,the modification of base asphalt and the rejuvenation of aged asphalt have attracted the attention of pavement material researchers.There are many varieties of tung oil in China.Under the environment of vigorous development of biomass energy,rational utilization of tung oil resources is of great significance.In this paper,tung oil and tung oil prepolymer are added to penetration 50 asphalt to modify it,two types of rejuvenators(tung oil and traditional mineral oil rejuvenator branded with A)were added to aging asphalt(prepared from penetration 70 petroleum asphalt by aging)to rejuvenate it.Through traditional performance test and rheological property test of modified asphalt and rejuvenated asphalt,the effect of tung oil and tung oil prepolymer on the road performance of petroleum asphalt is discussed.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Tung oil and tung oil prepolymer weaken the high temperature performance and enhance the fatigue resistance of base asphalt,but the effect of tung oil prepolymer on the high temperature performance of asphalt is smaller than tung oil.Compared with tung oil,tung oil prepolymer can ensure the high temperature performance of asphalt to a certain extent.At the same time,tung oil and tung oil prepolymer improve the low temperature performance of base asphalt,and the improvement effect of both is equal.The best dosage of tung oil and tung oil prepolymer is 4% and 6%,respectively,according to the high,medium and low temperature properties of modified asphalt.(2)Tung oil and rejuvenator-A reduce the high-temperature performance of aging asphalt,improve the fatigue resistance and low-temperature performance of aging asphalt,and when the two kinds of rejuvenators are in the appropriate range,the high,medium and low-temperature performance of aging asphalt can be restored to the level of penetration 70 basing asphalt.The ductility index of 2%~12% tung oil rejuvenated asphalt and 5%~20% rejuvenator-A rejuvenated asphalt at 15? can not reach the level of base asphalt.The viscosity of 10%~12% tung oil rejuvenated asphalt can be restored to the base asphalt level,while the rejuvenator-A rejuvenated asphalt with 20% mixing ratio can not reach the base asphalt viscosity level,which indicates that the rejuvenator-A has poor viscosity reduction effect.According to the high,medium and low temperature properties of rejuvenated asphalt,the best dosage of tung oil and rejuvenator-A rejuvenation agent is 8% and 15% respectively.In summary,tung oil has some advantages in modifying base asphalt,but it reduces the high-temperature performance of asphalt,so further research is needed to use it in combination with other modifiers.Compared with tung oil modified asphalt,tung oil prepolymer modified asphalt can not only ensure the high temperature performance of asphalt to a certain extent,but also improve its low temperature performance,which has certain application value for asphalt modification.It is feasible to apply tung oil to the rejuvenation of aged asphalt,and it can save resources and protect the environment.
