Research On The Reconstruction Strategy Of Urban Boundary Space Under Sharing Concept

The development of urban construction in contemporary China is facing many problems and challenges.On the one hand,the urban public space is relatively scarce,on the other hand,there is a lot of wasted public space.Designers mostly focus on large spaces such as city squares,parks and ignore the boundary space which exists in a large number of cities and is closest to the daily life of citizens and which could be designed and utilized.Thus,this supposed area of activity is seriously ignored and becomes an awkward negative space.This thesis proposes the “boundary problem” in the city and takes the linear negative space surrounded by the wall with low utilization ratio as the research object,aiming to discuss the design method of boundary space’ reconstruction under the concept of sharing and to promote the dynamic reconstruction of lost space in the city to a certain extent.Firstly,this thesis summarizes the current research situation of boundary space and sharing concept at home and abroad,clarifies the concept,type,attribute and function of "boundary space ",as well as the related concepts and elements of " sharing ",and combs the evolution course,development trend and existing problems of boundary space in cities at home and abroad.Secondly,this thesis sums up the components and needs analysis of shared boundary space from three aspects: spatial component,user’s behavior type and psychological demand,puts forward five design principles of shared boundary space : " diversity of space and function "," inclusiveness of time and dynamic"," flexibility of facility and change "," richness of crowd and activity" and " smart planning and management ",and discusses the design methods of urban shared boundary space from spatial dimension,temporal dimension and management dimension respectively.Finally,taking the campus,residential area and the boundary zone of the unit land which are closely related to the citizen’s life in Xi’ an city as an example,this thesis makes a concrete investigation and satisfaction evaluation on the use of space,and discusses the problems existing in space and the demand of people for the future use of space.Basing on the proposed shared design method to carry on the reconstruction design practice to the space according to the local conditions,this thesis gives the possible activity instruction and the concrete reconstruction result to the reconstruction of boundary space,which will make up for the lack of public space in the city,and the space will have the flexibility to contain a variety of activities,promote the benign interaction between citizens and stimulate urban vitality.
