Research On Betterment Design Of Living Street Space In Xi’an Textile City

Solving the "urban disease" and improving the living environment is the basic content of "City Betterment And Ecological Restoration".Nowadays it has the characteristics of being old,decaying,and unable to bear the needs of street life.It has become the object of much concern in the context of "City Betterment And Ecological Restoration".However,due to the impact of the large-scale demolition and construction of the living street space in the old city,the current question about how to repair and supplement the street space has been sharply questioned by the public.This article believes that the question is actually the lack of living street space repair methods,and the response to this problem needs to be answered one by one on the development and evolution of the living street space,constituent elements,activity characteristics and residents’ use needs in the old city.In other words,this article intends to explore the design method of repairing the living street space of Xi’an Textile City from the perspective of landscape architecture through the concept of "City Betterment",hoping to trigger some thinking about the design of repairing the living street space in the old city.In the process of urban planning gradually changing from "incremental" to "improving quality",this article focuses on solving the core problem of building streets in the old urban area that is difficult to meet the daily lives of residents through "Betterment".According to this,this article starts the research work in three aspects: First,the basic research on the living street space in the old city.Based on the research on the current development status at home and abroad,combing the evolution of living street space and the concept of " City Betterment",combining relevant theories,summarizing the physical and human environmental problems of the living street space in the old city and the "City Betterment" and liveliness Relevance of street space.Second,analyze the composition and demand of living street space in the old city.By discussing the four levels of street space development and evolution,components,activity characteristics and use needs,the key content of the betterment of living street space in the old city is derived.it puts forward the principle of repairing the living street space in the old city with universality,and finally proves the practice of repairing strategy in the living street space of Xi’an Textile City.Proposed three specific repair strategies of acupuncture repair of material elements,progressive repair of human elements and policy support.The betterment design is mainly based on the textile street of Xi’an Textile City,and specific repair methods based on each repair element are proposed accordingly.This research is to enrich the development of City Betterment concepts for urban public space transformation and upgrading.The basic contribution is to provide a systematic method for the design of living street space patching in the old city.At the theoretical level,the specific content and elements of living street patching under the concept of "City Betterment" Supplementation and integration will help to explore its essential characteristics;at the practical level,it proposes targeted repair methods for the problem of living street space in Xi’an Textile City,and provides a reference for the design of living street space repair.
