In recent years, global environmental degradation due to the sharp increase in carbon emissions has become the world’s top environmental issue.According to the UNEP,the construction industry consumes about 50% of the world’s energy and emits almost 42%of the world’s greenhouse gases, posing a huge environmental challenge.Without improving building energy efficiency and reducing building energy and carbon emissions, greenhouse gas emissions from the construction industry will account for more than 50%of total emissions by 2050.The development of China’s construction industry continues to expand, greenhouse gas emissions continue to grow, and the pressure to reduce carbon is huge.Urban housing accounts for the largest proportion of newly-built buildings in China every year, and the primary target for emission reduction is urban residential buildings.Secondly, among the urban houses, houses in cold areas cause a lot of carbon emissions due to annual heating. Therefore, this paper will take urban houses in cold areas as the research object and seek a carbon reduction strategy that can be controlled by current architects. From the energy saving calculation in the use stage to the carbon emission measurement of the whole life cycle, the carbon emission is used as an indicator to highlight the impact of the building’s entire life cycle on the environment, which constitutes one of the quantitative measurement indicators of building and environmental impact.First, this article will systematically analyze the current carbon emission status of residential buildings in cold regions, summarize and summarize the composition and characteristics of urban residential carbon emissions in cold regions, and second, analyze the characteristics of low-carbon residential building demonstration cases, and compare it with the previous cold in China.Compare the life-cycle carbon emissions and composition of regional residences. Finally, through the above analysis,we summarize the design strategies and points of attention for low-carbon houses in cold regions.
