In the past few years,China's urbanization process has advanced rapidly, and people's behaviors in the economy and housing have brought a series of negative impacts on the urban environment, which also seriously restricts the sustainable development of cities. In recent years, urban environmental problems have become increasingly prominent. The uncontrolled waste and environmental pollution of a large number of urban resources have seriously restricted the continued advancement of urbanization.Urban resource issues have become a key issue to be solved urgently. As a basic element of current urban development, residential areas have many characteristics such as large quantity and large construction volume, and residential areas are one of the basic functions of modern cities.During construction and use,a large amount of CO2 will be emitted. For urban construction, each block is an important node, and each block constitutes an urban space area, and the city's sustainable ecosystem is also based on this.To this end, further reducing the current CO2 emissions in urban settlements in China is of great significance to the "energy saving and emission reduction" of the entire country. In order to better understand the carbon dioxide emissions of urban residential areas in China, this study plans to rely on the existing product life cycle assessment framework(LCA)and propose a set of urban settlements based on the current characteristics and current status of urban construction activities in China. The assessment method of life cycle CO2 emissions, and using this method to calculate the CO2 emissions during the life cycle of a city residential area.Based on the calculation results, the various emission reduction methods and their emission reduction capabilities are discussed in depth from the perspective of space and time, especially focusing on the emission reduction measures during the construction phase. Finally, this paper builds a low-carbon block model based on emission reduction measures, and compares the carbon emissions of low-carbon blocks and ordinary blocks, and proposes emission reduction measures that are applicable to Shenyang and have significant emission reduction effects.
