The ancient city of pingyao is an outstanding example of an ancient city in China during the Ming and qing dynasties.The ancient city of pingyao presents an extraordinary picture of the development of architecture,culture,society,economy and religion.The ancient city of pingyao has basically preserved the prototype of the county town in the Ming and qing dynasties.There are all kinds of ruins in the city,and nearly 4,000 well-preserved houses in the Ming and qing dynasties.Among them,the city walls,streets,alleys,shops,dwellings and temples jointly build the complete urban space of the ancient city.Pingyao ancient city is composed of four main streets and several streets and lanes.As one of the main roads,west street is the most complete and most representative of the characteristics of the ancient city of pingyao.The authenticity of its buildings,streets and streets,and the authenticity of the original residents show the historical features of the ancient city of pingyao to the world.I through to the ancient city of west street block the overall environment of field investigation,from the ancient city of pingyao historical context,the ancient city of pingyao traditional space layout,the ancient city of pingyao traditional local-style dwelling houses building and historical aspects of urban landscape,through in-depth investigation of the current situation of the ancient west street of the city streets,found that in order to adapt to the development of local economy,meet the demand of the function of modern commercial shops,many frontage component is replaced,now the artifacts the regulation and quality not in conformity with the original traditional artifacts,such as the original facade Windows component replacement into Windows components of modern style.In fact,as early as the repair of the qufu hole temple,liang sicheng has put forward the view that "the bad painting of the new temple should be repainted".As a result,the historical and cultural information of its original shops along the street facade continues to disappear.The shop is too disorderly,and adopts the form and color that are in conflictwith the characteristics of the building facade,which is not consistent with the traditional style and style,and brings great damage to the authenticity of the building facing the street.Street,the same section of the street shops lack of professional lighting design,the primary and secondary is not clear,the illumination of the street is too low,affecting the activities of visitors.Therefore,the lack of authenticity of the traditional culture,which is based on the appearance of the west street,poses a serious threat to the authenticity and integrity of the west street in the ancient city of pingyao.Combined with the problems above,the purpose of this paper is to restore the authenticity of the west street and street buildings in pingyao ancient city.Based on the ancient city of west street,28 and 48 interval of frontage elevation along the street,for example,from the west street in the qing dynasty traditional local-style dwelling houses building eaves outside outfit fold arts study,based on principles of building the original true,reasonable use of traditional materials,form,rules and regulations,color and craft repair frontage elevation along the street,the west street frontage eaves outside elevation uncovered its period in the qing dynasty history;In terms of streets,the improvement of street infrastructure and public service facilities should be carried out to improve the style of main streets and restore the original appearance of main streets.Through the design practice of the outer eaves folding of the street facade of the frontage building,it is finally realized that the outer eaves folding of the frontage building can restore the authenticity of the street facade of the frontage building in the qing dynasty,and further restore the authenticity and integrity of the west street and the street and the frontage building.
