Study On The Architectural Morphology Of Folk Academies On The Lower Reaches Of Xijiang River

Academies play an important role in the history of Chinese education.As folk academies with the important significance of popularizing culture and education,they have relatively less social attention and lack of in-depth and systematic research on folk academies on the lower reaches of Xijiang River.And the academic circle mostly focuses on the study of academies from the perspective of literature and history,while the study of academies in the field of architecture is relatively less.According to the literature review and field investigation,it is found that the folk academies on the lower reaches of Xijiang have their own architectural characteristics,but the preservation of the folk academies in this area is not optimistic,and more information about the academies is no longer available,which is a pity.Therefore,this paper takes the folk academies on the lower reaches of Xijiang River as the research object,pays attention to their architectural Morphology,analyzes and summarizes their architectural features and explores their influencing factors.It is hoped that the research and combing of this paper can show the basic characteristics of the folk academies on the lower reaches of Xijiang and attract people’s attention and social concern.First of all,the lower reaches of the Xijiang River rely on the Xijiang River and its main and tributaries.The natural and cultural characteristics of the basin as the basic background of the region have a direct impact on the academy.Through the basic literature research and conduct field investigation,combining the natural and human characteristics of the watershed environment with the academy architecture,this paper combs out the natural and human background,historical changes and types of folk academy on the lower reaches of Xijiang River.Secondly,clarify the existing cases in the investigation to obtain first-hand information,and respectively from the five parts of evolution,site selection environment,functional layout,space creation,structural decoration,the case of the academy is initially interpreted and summarized.Again,on the basis of the preliminary analysis of the case,this paper deeply studies the architectural morphology of the academy.This paper mainly analyzes and summarizes the architectural morphology of the academy from the two aspects of the spatial Morphology and the physical morphology of the academy.First,it analyzes the spatial Morphology of the folk academies on the lower reaches of the Xijiang River,and explores the spatial morphology characteristics of the folk academies on the lower reaches of the Xijiang River through the four aspects of their spatial distribution,spatial layout,spatial elements and spatial processing methods.Secondly,it analyzes the physical morphology of the folk academies on the lower reaches of Xijiang River,explores the physical morphology features of the academies through the three aspects of the external modeling features,the beam structure and the main structural practices,and makes a preliminary comparison with the physical morphology of the academies on the north of Guangdong Province and the Ganjiang River Basin of Jiangxi Province;finally,the paper further studies the architectural morphology characteristics of folk academies on the lower reaches of Xijiang River and explores the influencing factors.Based on the analysis and research of the architectural morphology of the folk academies on the lower reaches of Xijiang River,and on the basis of a large number of materials obtained from the field survey,this paper concludes that the architectural morphology of the folk academies on the lower reaches of Xijiang River is the final result of the comprehensive interaction of many factors,such as the natural environment,multi culture,the nature of the academies,the functional demand of the academies,the folk construction,the migration channel and the business trade,etc.,and it shows a certain unique regional architectural style,which is also the practical significance of the existence of folk academy buildings on the lower reaches of the Xijiang River and the appeal for their protection.This paper studies the architectural morphology of the folk academies on the lower reaches of Xijiang River,which provides a theoretical basis for the protection and reuse of the cultural relics of the folk academies in the future,and provides some ideas and inspiration for the follow-up study of the academies.
