| Under the current situation of urban construction,Bridges are an indispensable part of urban development and construction, the cross-river bridge connects the two banks and has a complex and rich spatial level. However, due to the emphasis on engineering technology, the layout between the bridge and the city lacks human scale. The traffic volume of motor vehicles occupies an absolute amount, and there is no reasonable plan for pedestrian traffic. With the growing demand for outdoor activities, the bridge itself is not only used as urban transportation infrastructure, but also forms an important urban public space in combination with the surrounding environment, that is,the bridge domain space. For riverside cities, bridge domain space plays an irreplaceable role whether it is an urban landscape or an important urban public space. Many riverside cities also pay more and more attention to planning and design in this area. This article takes Wuhan,a riverside city as an example, and combines the actual situation of the Wuhan River-crossing Bridge to clarify that the object of study is the 11 river-crossing bridges in Wuhan’s main urban area.In the time dimension, according to the historical evolution of the Wuhan River Crossing Bridge, the development process is divided into Qi(1956-1957),Xing(1978-1988),and Sheng(1995-present).The article includes three areas of research:(1)Spatial typology classification of bridges across rivers. This article starts from the perspective of bridge perspective and urban scale.Bridge perspective is divided into space on the bridge, space under the bridge and space at the bridgehead according to the spatial properties of the bridge.Combined with the space of Wuhan cross-river bridge,it summarizes its horizontal and vertical space characteristics. The city scale discusses the location, function, and connection between the bridge space and the surrounding cities.Through the above classifications, the spatial characteristics of the Wuhan River Crossing Bridge are clarified.(2)Typology and activity distribution of bridge space.T Two typical cases,Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge and Gutian bridge, are selected to discuss the influence of bridges on the urban space from the comparison of urban space before and after the construction of the bridge.Based on the classification of Typology in Chapter 3,this paper studies the types of spatial section of bridge area in typical cases, and combines the types, regions and questionnaires of activity distribution to understand the scope of activity and the relationship between the types and typology classification.(3)Factors affecting the use of the bridge domain space. After the field investigation, the influencing factors at three levels of city scale, regional scale, and micro scale were explored, and five factors affecting : traffic, culture, landscape, form, and infrastructure in the city where the bridge is located were analyzed. |
