Study On The Evolution Of Settlements And Architectures In Shaanxi,shanxi And Henan Province From The Perspective Of Hedong Salt Transport

The area of Hedong salt pond is an important birthplace of ancient Chinese civilization.The salt produced in the area has supported people’s livelihood in some parts of Shaanxi,Shanxi and Henan provinces since the ancient times,and gradually formed a relatively stable marketing area and route.The production,transportation and sale of pool salt not only promoted the birth of Yuncheng,a special salt city in ancient times,but also activated a number of commercial roads in Shaanxi,Shanxi and Henan provinces,some of which were prosperous.The Shanshan and Shaanxi merchants traveling on the salt road spread the belief of Guan Yu,which originated in Yuncheng,and the architectural skills of their hometown,and mingled with the local architectural culture at the same time of their commercial activities.Their commercial and construction activities themselves deeply influenced the form and style of the settlements along the line.This is how Hedong Salt Culture,with salt merchants as its medium,continuously and stably influences the buildings and settlements in the salt area through salt transportation.This paper will take Hedong Salt Transportation as the starting point,investigate the relevant existing literature,historical buildings and traditional settlements,focus on the historical background,spatial pattern,construction technology and aesthetic elements of the buildings and settlements along the line,explore the relationship between the evolution phenomenon and the salt transportation route,explore the architectural cultural boundary under the influence of salt culture,and demonstrate the mode and result of the influence of salt transportation on the buildings and settlements.This paper can be divided into four parts:The first part summarizes the history of Hedong pond salt in different periods,production and marketing methods,related cultural phenomena and salt business activities,and analyzes the basis for Hedong pond salt culture to spread.The second part analyzes the distribution of marketing lines and salt areas of hedongchi salt based on literature research,and makes a comparative study of salt transportation and building area.In the third part,the spatial distribution and settlement form of salt producing and salt transporting settlements on the Hedong Salt transportation line are analyzed,the typical settlements such as Yuncheng and Guoyu village are analyzed in detail,and the evolution of settlements in Hedong Salt area and surrounding salt area is compared.In the fourth part,first of all,through the classification of various buildings on the Hedong Salt transportation line,taking typical buildings such as Yanchi temple and Guandi temple in Haizhou as examples to study the original culture of the buildings in Hedong Salt area,taking Shanshan guildhalls which are well preserved along the salt transportation line as examples to study the evolution of the architectural culture along with the spread of the salt transportation line,and then combining the evolution of the residential buildings along the line to the buildings in Hedong Salt area The evolution of similar buildings in the surrounding salt area was compared.
