The cities as an important space carrier of human survival and development, the consumption of ecological resources is huge. With the rapid development of economy and the rapid increase of urban population, the ability of urban diffusion and radiation is becoming stronger and stronger. The problem of ecological security is facing a huge challenge. It is imperative to build an ecological sustainable development cityResidential area is an important space carrier and basic unit of urban population living and activities, and one of the main sources of urban ecological resource consumption.Building ecological sustainable residential area is one of the important tasks to achieve the goal of urban sustainable development. However, for the goal of building ecological sustainable settlements, what kind of settlements can be considered as sustainable development? How to build ecological sustainable settlements? Therefore, accurate sustainability assessment is the premise to guide the construction of residential areas in the direction of sustainability. How to evaluate the sustainability of a residential area has become the key.A clear and comprehensive sustainability assessment system is particularly important.Since the thought of sustainable development has been widely recognized, the relevant research of sustainability assessment system has achieved obvious results. However, through literature research,it is found that most of the relevant research of sustainability assessment system focuses on the macro and meso scale, while the micro scale research is less and not systematic.Ecological footprint theory is an effective method to measure the degree of sustainable development at any scale.Based on the theory of ecological footprint, this paper constructs a quantitative evaluation system for the sustainability of residential areas to accurately evaluate the sustainability of residential areas. At the same time, the paper uses Matlab mathematical software to evaluate and quantify the impact of the form of residential community on the sustainability of residential areas,so as to provide design and decision support for improving the sustainability of residential areas.Based on the relevant research basis, this paper summarizes the concept of sustainability evaluation, the origin of sustainability ideas and the research progress of sustainability measurement and evaluation methods, elaborates the feasibility and practicability of ecological footprint theory as a sustainability measurement and evaluation method, and establishes the theoretical basis for this paper to build the sustainability quantitative evaluation system. This paper applies the theory of ecological footprint to the construction of quantitative evaluation system of urban and neighborhood scale sustainability, and summarizes the idea and principle of quantitative assessment of residential sustainability based on ecological footprint theory,so as to build a more complete quantitative evaluation system for residential sustainability.Based on the established quantitative evaluation system of residential sustainability, this paper takes the main urban area of Wuhan as an example, selects 1564 families in 30 residential areas through certain selection criteria for field survey and questionnaire survey, obtains the resource consumption data of residents, and makes quantitative evaluation on the sustainability of residential areas. The results show that: the quantitative evaluation value of residential sustainability accounts for more than 11.53% of the quantitative evaluation value of urban sustainability, accounting for a considerable proportion, which shows that the sustainable development of residential areas is one of the important tasks to achieve the goal of urban sustainable development;the sustainability degree of sample residential areas is quite different, which shows that the sustainability degree of residential areas has a lot of room for improvement;Green lifestyle is conducive to improving the sustainability of settlements.Based on the resource consumption data of 1564 families, this paper uses Matlab mathematical software to analyze the correlation, and constructs an analysis model with the form variables of the residential community and social economic variables as independent variables, and the per capita ecological footprint as dependent variables,to evaluate the sustainable impact of the form of the residential community on the residential area. The results show that there is a significant positive correlation between the quantitative evaluation value of residential sustainability and the four indicators of monthly income per capita.Based on the resource consumption data of 1564 households, the paper uses Matlab mathematical software to conduct stepwise multiple regression analysis, and constructs an analysis model with the variables that have significant correlation with the quantitative evaluation value of residential sustainability and the per capita ecological footprint as independent variables, studies the quantitative evaluation of the sustainable impact of residential community on residential areas. The results show that different variables have great differences on the sustainability of residential areas. When the plot ratio, building density, building height, sunshine distance, intersection density, land mix, business district accessibility and public transport type indicators increase by 100%,the sustainability of residential areas will be reduced by 9.89%,increased by 6.09%,decreased by 4.11%,decreased by 6.01%,decreased by 2%,respectively 25%,3.36%,0.52% and 1.93% respectively. In combination with the size of elastic value and the difficulty of practical operation, the order of influence degree of form variable of residential community and the sustainability of residential area is plot ratio > land mixing degree > intersection density > building density > sunshine distance > building height > public transport type > Business District accessibility.Based on this result, this paper attempts to improve the sustainable development of residential areas from two aspects: reducing the total ecological footprint of residential areas and increasing the total ecological carrying capacity of residential areas. |
