Research On Strategic Management Of WS Shipbuilding Enterprise

Since 2008,the shipbuilding industry has been in recession for more than a decade.In the process,numerous shipyards have closed down and more have been operating difficultly.The three major shipbuilding centers in China,Japan and Korea are all operating in the mud.In the low tide of the industry,it is especially important to find a road for survive and development for enterprises.This thesis comprehensively uses methods such as literature data,qualitative analysis,quantitative analysis,and comparative analysis.This thesis takes a company named WS as the research object,and discusses the strategic management plan of shipbuilding enterprises.Firstly,this thesis analyzes the history,current situation and future trends of the industry,analyzes the macro external environment of the enterprise by using PEST model,and analyzes the competitiveness of WS by using Porter’s competitiveness model.Then this thesis analyzes the internal organizational structure,business sector and operational capability of the enterprise,and compares it with the domestic and foreign leading shipbuilding enterprises,and analyzes the gaps and catchable parts between WS and domestic and foreign leading shipbuilding enterprises.Finally,using SWOT analysis matrix to analyze the opportunities and challenges faced by enterprises,internal strengths and weaknesses of enterprises,and compile SWOT analysis matrix.After discussion,it provides defensive strategic advice for enterprises during the low tide period.However,due to the close relationship between the shipbuilding industry and global shipping,it is recommended that enterprises use the 2020 US election as an anchor point.After the results of the US election,the follow-up strategy will be decided.After that,this thesis puts forward strategic safeguard measures from organizational structure,human resources,information management,inventory management,risk prevention and other aspects to ensure that WS’s strategy can be implemented.Through the above discussion and analysis,the research ideas and methods of this thesis provide a certain reference for the shipbuilding enterprises to strategic planning during the low tide period of the industry.
