The ship wake covers a wide range, lasts for a long time, and has obvious characteristics,so it can provide an important basis for ship parameter inversion, ship detection and ship identification. The detection by millimeter wave radiation of ship wakes has the characteristics of good concealment,all-weather,quasi-weather,etc.The millimeter wave radiation characteristics of ship wakes play an important role in the detection and identification of ship wakes. Therefore,in this thesis Kelvin wake of the ship and its millimeter wave radiation is studied, and the millimeter wave radiation model of ship wake is established. Moreover, the effects of different ship parameters on the wake radiation and its life cycle are discussed, and the ship wake millimeter wave radiation characteristics are obtained, which can provide theoretical basis for ship target detection and recognition. The details are as follows:Firstly, the sea surface simulation method is introduced, which introduces the concept of sea spectrum. Then combined with the existing universal classic sea spectrum and Monte Carlo method, the rough sea surface is linearly simulated, and the characteristics of rough sea surface modeled through different sea spectrum are comparatively analyzed. Then, the model of Kelvin wake is elaborated, and on this basis, the influence of different ship parameters on the wave height and waveform of Kelvin wake is discussed. At the same time, using the superposition model of wake and rough sea surface, the influence of wind speed on wake waves was studied.Secondly, based on the traditional Kirchhoff Approximation(KA)method, the sea surface is regarded as consisting of a series of facet facets, and the bistatic scattering coefficients at each facet are calculated to obtain the wake radiation model.Furthermore, the effects of different ship parameters(ship speed, draught, ship length, ship width)on wake radiant brightness temperature are focused on.At the same time, based on the millimeter wave radiation of the wake, considering the attenuation characteristics of the wake in actual conditions, the impact of the ship speed on the life cycle of the wake radiation is analyzed. Finally,a millimeter-wave radiation brightness temperature measurement experiment of the ship wake was carried out,and it verifies the effectiveness of the radiation model.
