Chinese automotive market has experienced negative growth since 2018.The decline of sales has also led to more and more fiercer competition among automobile manufacturer.Meanwhile,the requirements from automobile manufacturer to Tier1 suppliers are higher and higher,which not only requires lower prices,but also requires faster response speed and stable quality.BTL,the Tier1 auto parts supplier,is also facing great challenges from customers.Therefore,the improvement of the company’s overall operational efficiency is very important.As the core part of BTL Company’s supply chain,60%-70% of the company’s cost comes from the purchasing cost,so the purchase is the key to improve the company’s operational efficiency.Effective procurement management can greatly improve the competitiveness of the enterprise.This thesis focuses on the problem analysis and improvement in the procurement management of BTL Company.Based on the analysis of the current situation of BTL Company’s procurement management,the thesis puts forward a systematic optimization scheme of procurement management based on the enterprise’s competitive strategy,procurement management,supplier selection and evaluation,cost optimization and other related theories.First,the problems in BTL company’s purchasing management are analyzed systematically,such as the problems in purchasing organization structure and purchasing process,supplier evaluation and selection,cost optimization of purchased parts,etc.The optimization and implementation scheme is put forward accordingly.Secondly,the reorganization of the team of the procurement department,the reclassification of personnel responsibilities and the optimization of the procurement process greatly improve the efficiency of the procurement department.Then,the evaluation and selection process of suppliers should be detailed,and comprehensive consideration should be given to quality,cost,time and technology to ensure the selection of more reliable suppliers.Finally,the process of supplier cost optimization is improved,and the idea of cost optimization is reformed.Based on the detailed cost breakdown,total involvement for cost optimization actions from all functional departments,to achieve win-win between customers and suppliers.Through the implementation of the improvement plan,the procurement management system of BTL company becomes more efficient and practical,and it gives full play to its functional benefits,improve the overall operating efficiency,and creates more value for the company.
