Accompanied by the fast development in China over the past 30 years,,a large number of industrial buildings have been demolished or to be demolished.Nowadays,under the background of stock renewal in China,it is necessary to reserve and update these industrial buildings from the both perspectives of resource conservation and historical memory.Due to different times of construction,diverse functional usages,limitations of construction arts and other factors,there often exist many contradictions in the process of reconstruction.The prominent contradiction is the mismatch between old industrial buildings and new forms of business.Therefore,this study focuses on the spatial matching in functional replacement of old industrial buildings.This study adopts typology study,case study,and so on.Firstly,it classifies spatial and structural characteristics of existing old industrial buildings.On the basis of the classification and requirements of new formal space and structure,it analyzes those reconstructing cases of the same type of building.Further,it discusses the matching relationship between the old space and new function in different types of industrial buildings.Then,based on the objective spatial construction,it summarizes the general matching rules.Finally,with the preliminary research findings,this study targets at the case of the industrial building reconstruction of Huang Shi Hua Xin Cement Factory.It analyzes the possibility of the matching of the different old industrial buildings and formats,then it put forward the design strategy of functional replacement. |
