In recent years,with the shortage of fossil fuels and the increasingly prominent problem of environmental sustainability,solar energy has been widely used as a clean and renewable energy.Urban expansion and the wide distribution of solar energy resources make the city become the "energy container" of solar energy resources,so the research on urban spatial form and solar radiation potential is of great significance.In this paper,takes the irregular block distribution as a starting point,introducing quantitative geography indicators to quantify the spatial form of blocks,through the building block space form optimization platform to explore the distribution of solar radiation in different block building layout,to provide evidence-based design strategies and suggestions for pre-block planning.In terms of research methods,takes the parametric modeling Grasshopper platform as the intermediary,integrates block modeling,solar radiation simulation,genetic algorithm tools,data export post-processing tools and other tools to build a block space shape optimization platform.By setting different thresholds for each use of solar radiation as a filter,the optimization platform was run multiple times to compare the optimization process and optimization results under each threshold screening conditions,and then mining the influence of block building layout on the distribution of solar radiation,and summarizing the street space shape conducive to solar radiation collection.In terms of research content distribution,it is mainly divided into three parts: chapter 3 explains the basic principles of genetic algorithm and the construction process of optimization platform.Chapter 4 studies the correlation between the average nearest neighbor index and the amount of solar radiation,the distribution of solar radiation at different threshold intervals,and the block distribution pattern most conducive to solar radiation.Chapter 5 has the same frame as the chapter 4,but further discusses the differences of the fourth chapter under different building heights,such as the correlation between the average nearest neighbor index and solar radiation.It is found that the average nearest neighbor index has a significant positive correlation with the annual total solar radiation of the block,but has different influence on the solar radiation of different sections.The block distribution pattern of active heating and photovoltaic power generation is different.The block distribution of photovoltaic power generation is more compact and has more east-west strip layout.For Wuhan area,the available solar radiation source of passive heating in winter is only the roof,which is not suitable for simple application of passive solar house.The application measures of balancing the building energy consumption and passive solar radiation income should be considered comprehensively.With different thresholds and different building heights,the distribution forms of blocks that are conducive to solar radiation collection are different.
