According to today’s global energy and environmental problems,solar buildings have developed rapidly and are gradually showing new forms of scale application.In this paper,a new method is described for finding suitable urban geometric forms to facilitate the acquisition of solar radiation,whether passive or active.This paper introduces a new concept of "chaos" to describe a highly complex and variable combination of buildings.This study uses ladybug to simulate solar radiation and find the relationship between solar radiation and urban forms under different degrees of chaos,different plot ratios,different kurtosis and skewness.The concept of chaos covers a relatively large number of samples.The combination of morphological summarization in previous studies,in short,is the special case of chaos.It is easy to filter out the optimal solution.The method proposed in this paper avoids this problem.This research uses the grasshopper platform,combined with python,to implement algorithms and simulate automatic calculations.It can calculate a large number of different building arrangements and save a lot of time,thus finding out the relationship between spatial shape and solar radiation under different degrees of chaos,kurtosis and skewness.It is found that spatial morphology and solar radiation are positively correlated under chaos.Under the same volumetric ratio,the greater the chaos,the more favorable the acquisition of solar radiation;the spatial morphology and solar radiation are negatively correlated under kurtosis.Large kurtosis means that the increase of variance is caused by the extreme difference of the low frequency which is greater or less than the average value,which is not conducive to the acquisition of solar radiation;and the skewness has no obvious correlation with solar radiation.Based on this platform,a large amount of data can be obtained.By analyzing the spatial morphology and the one-to-one correspondence of solar radiation,it can be found that the spatial shape favorable for obtaining solar radiation is concave at the center position,and the four fa?ades in the southeast and northwest are similar to one concave which benefit from the sheer volume of data,can be analyzed.SVF is an important indicator for measuring solar cities,so the research on SVF is of great significance.At the same time,this platform also realizes the synchronous operation of SVF and solar radiation,which solves the correlation problem between SVF and solar radiation under different chaos,kurtosis and skewness.The results show that there is a strong positive correlation between SVF and chaos,kurtosis and skewness,and solar radiation is only positively correlated under chaos variables,and negative correlations under other variables.
