As China’s socio-economic development changes from rapid development to relatively rapid development,improving the quality of economic development and controlling costs have become new key points.As one of the important components of China’s economic development,real estate plays an important role in protecting the basic needs of the people,maintaining social stability,and improving people’s happiness in life.In order to build a well-off society in an all-round way in 2020,the number of engineering projects in China has gradually increased,and people have higher requirements for the quality of engineering projects.For construction companies,in order to achieve the pursuit of profit,on the one hand,they need to obtain high income,on the other hand,they must achieve low cost.It is not difficult to see now that the golden age of real estate is over,and the possibility of chasing higher incomes may become weaker with the successive introduction of various market control policies.Therefore,the pressure to chase down to lower costs is increasing.Only by withstanding this pressure can construction companies survive.However,for the project itself,large investment amount,long construction cycle,and high project risk are still its difficult to get rid of.Only by establishing a full-process management awareness in cost control,strengthening internal multi-factor control,and rationally planning the use of funds to prevent brain drain and resource waste,can construction companies ensure that the company obtains sufficient benefits from the project.This article takes the Q engineering project of an S company in a city as the main analysis object,and uses the cost control,system management,dynamic control,earned value method and other related theories of cost control as the basis.It reasonably applies the engineering project management method and combines the company’s industry environment.And the company’s basic situation,first,research and analyze the current status of Q engineering project cost management and a large number of internal data of the company,clarify the Q engineering project cost management chain,and clarify various factors affecting costs,such as management framework factors,control process factors,and budget control Factors,progress control factors,overall coordination factors,etc.,and the implementation of the earned value method to find deviations throughout the cost management process.Secondly,it draws out various problems in cost management of Q engineering projects and analyzes their causes.Thirdly,it puts forward the optimization suggestions for the problems in the cost management of Q engineering projects,so as to achieve the ultimate purpose of effective cost control of engineering projects.
