Abstract/Summary:
Karamay asphalt is the main material used in Xinjiang road construction for its great performance under ultra high and low temperature and reliable properties.These days the fast development of infrastructure construction leads to shortage of Karamay asphalt supply.On the other hand the special quality of Karamy asphalt makes it difficult to modify.So to solve the asphalt supply shortage and obtain a modified asphalt with good performance,we did some works on mixed Chunfeng and Tahe asphalt to find out the road performance and optimized the proportions for the asphalt concrete.The study is based on indoor and outdoor experiments by using mixed asphalt.According to different requirement of pavement layer,the properties and proportions of asphalt concrete were discussed.We chose a road from Altay downtown to new train station for the application of this kind of mixed asphalt.First of all,the main points of construction technology of mixture ratio design has been analyzed and the result of target mixture ratio has been analyzed in order to determine the producing mixture ratio,the performance has also been tested.Then the design reasonable concrete proportion was determined by Marshall Test,which revealed the variation of oil-aggregate ratio induced by the segregation and its impact on Marshall Index.Finally,the compactness,deflection value,friction factor,texture depth and smoothness of mixed asphalt concrete were test after pavement application,the results showed great performance properties of mixed Chunfeng and Tahe asphalt concrete.
