With the increasing number of motor vehicles and the rapid increase of traffic demand in China,the imbalance of urban traffic infrastructure supply and demand is serious,especially the bottleneck of traffic development in large cities(such as the main urban area of Chongqing).With the development of the central business district,the problem of traffic congestion in the main urban area has become increasingly prominent,which seriously affects the sustainable development of China’s traffic.The situation of traffic congestion is more severe,and it is in urgent need of systematic,coordinated and reliable traffic congestion relief technology and traffic management strategy support.Firstly,this paper summarizes the traffic congestion problems from the aspects of time,region,causes,and traffic index.This paper summarizes the characteristics and laws of traffic congestion in time and space,and studies the main and auxiliary relations of the characteristics and laws of traffic congestion in space attribute and time attribute.The concept of "coordination" of natural science is introduced into public management science,and the concept of "collaborative governance" is put forward to realize the optimization of traffic management mode.With the development of society and the sharp increase of the number of motor vehicles,there are still some historical problems in the construction of urban infrastructure.This paper takes the traffic situation of the main urban area of Chongqing as an example,and analyzes the main causes of the current urban traffic congestion from the aspects of urban development and road infrastructure construction.The research shows that the traffic congestion in the main urban area is mainly caused by the increasingly prominent contradiction between the supply and demand of traffic,the lack of internal and external communication channels in the group,the low density of secondary roads,the insufficient function transformation of interchange nodes,and the lagging level of traffic management.This paper aims at the phenomenon of traffic congestion,through data collection,to predict the urban traffic demand.In order to achieve traffic flow management,it is expected to achieve the goal of balancing the traffic volume of the road network and alleviate traffic congestion to a certain extent.Based on the experience of sustainable traffic development at home and abroad,combined with China’s national conditions and the actual situation of traffic congestion in Chongqing,this paper gives the solutions and Countermeasures to solve the traffic congestion in the main urban areas of Chongqing from the aspects of traffic demand management,increasing the supply of traffic infrastructure,collaborative governance strategies,and other measures.
