M Power Company funded jointly by the Datang International Power Generation Co.and Tianjin Jinneng Investment Company,equipped with two 600MW domestic thermal power plants,which put into commercial operation in December 18,2001 and June 5,2002 respectively.As a State-owned Key Enterprise,M Power Company has changed a lot with the deepening of state-owned enterprises reform in recent years.Some reform measures bring a new test to the central enterprises management,for example,the total salary increased very slowly,and the corporate welfare has been declining.Employee turnover rate keeps raising,and the staff lack of motivation in work,These realities greatly reduce the central enterprises’ attractiveness of talent.The enterprise managers have to attend the new challenge.In this paper,The thesis researched the M Power Company,and investigated the employees,in reference to the Minnesota satisfaction scale(Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire,referred to as MSQ)model to survey the M Power Company staff satisfaction.This paper mainly based on the existing employee satisfaction theory,through reading and combining the literature,analyzing questionnaire survey and statistical.The writer concluded the influence factors of employee satisfaction.Then the thesis designed the questionnaire about employee satisfaction,and do the research and summaried the results.On the basis of the analysis result the paper found out the methods of improving the level of employees’ satisfaction.What’s more,the paper sum up the eight lowest scoring items according to the different positions,services years,education background of communities’ satisfaction in the aspect of salary,welfare,work environment,harmonious degree,enterprise manament and individul value to realize the 53 specific items in four catyegories.Then,the thesis put forward some corresponding improvement measures and designed incentive acheme by combining with the company’s actual basis,which has realistic meaning for the large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises to improve M power company and even the same type of job performance.
