With the gradual deepening of vision and angle of urban construction,people’s awareness of current resource crisis and environmental protection is also increasing day by day.As an important medium for displaying regional ecological culture and characteristics,the botanical garden plays an important role in creating a good atmosphere of ecological civilization with its diverse natural ecological environment,rich plant diversity and profound scientific connotation.The botanical garden is not only an important construction point for people’s life and well-being,but also bears the important mission of promoting the protection and cultivation of plant germplasm resources,conducting various scientific researches,and promoting regional sustainable development.In recent years,the construction of botanical gardens in my country has entered a stage of rapid development,but there is still a big gap between the theme type,design maturity,and popularization of science education.On the other hand,the planning and design of my country’s botanical gardens lack systematic research on upper-level planning,and the impact of the construction of botanical gardens on regional ecology is rarely quantified.Therefore,it is particularly important to establish a macro concept and coordinate ecological and landscape effects.This article starts from the two major areas of ecosystem service evaluation and botanical garden planning and design,focusing on three aspects: the first is the impact of the planning and construction of the botanical garden on the regional ecology of Yueyang City;the second is to study the results of the ecosystem service evaluation in the design site Targeted guidance for subsequent planning and design;the third is the improvement of its own ecological benefits after the completion of the botanical garden.Based on this,first summarized and summarized the basic theories of botanical garden construction.Secondly,the In Vest model is used to calculate indicators such as carbon storage,water conservation,water and soil conservation,and habitat quality.On this basis,the existing red lines are adjusted according to future policy development orientation and surrounding environmental construction.Combining the results of the construction grade division with the zoning planning of the botanical garden,the overall environmental design and plant selection of the botanical garden under the ecological priority conditions are explored from the four perspectives of functional area division,waterfront adjustment,characteristic habitat creation,and site space layout.Third,combined with the macro-planning,it puts forward three design strategies in terms of construction focus,plant selection and habitat creation.Finally,the APG classification system is combined with various landscape tours to realize the in-depth design of popular science education.By strengthening the digital construction of the botanical garden,enriching the forms of popular science education,and exploring new strategies for the construction of the botanical garden,it hopes to provide a reference for the construction of related plants in the future.
