The Application Of Corn Poppy In The Female Daily Ceramic Design

In today’s society,more and more women travel back and forth between work and family,under the dual pressure of workplace to family,and thus are more in need of social attention and love.There are many similarities between women and flowers,whether in life process,morphological signs or emotional meaning.Therefore,flowers also have the symbolic significance of women.As the embodiment of Yu Ji in the legend of ancient Chinese characters,corn poppy have a further connection with women.In addition,corn poppy’s petals are light and colorful.When swinging with the wind,they dance like women’s red clothes,adding more femininity compared with other flowers.This topic takes the flower form of corn poppy as the design element,cuts in from the perspective of women,uses the bionic design method to carry out relevant design practice in the field of daily-use ceramics,designs and makes bionic daily-use ceramic products of corn poppy,and explores how to alleviate women’s pressure in the field of daily-use ceramics.By highlighting the female meaning in the products,women can meet their own emotional needs in the use of daily-use ceramic products,so as to promote women’s physical and mental health and enrich the daily-use ceramic product market.This paper focuses on the two key points of female design and corn poppy bionics.The practice process is divided into four parts.In the first part,the existing studies were collated and analyzed through literature data methods to understand and summarize female design,bionic design,and morphological characteristics of corn poppies.In the second part,market survey method is used to analyze the existing markets and design cases to determine the market feasibility of this design practice,while learning the advantages of the excellent cases.The third part,the design conception,according to the bionic design method,extract the characteristics of corn poppies,and make this feature conform to the functional structure of the specific product and the existing production technical conditions.The fourth part is to improve the whole design process by finding and solving unreasonable points in the process of making objects.This enables the design to be completed successfully.
