The Application Of Swallow Form In Daily Ceramic Design

Swallow,as an auspicious bird in Chinese traditional culture,has been loved by people since ancient times because of its auspicious and beautiful meaning,elegant and beautiful form.In this paper,swallow shape as the theme of the design of daily ceramic products,using the form bionic design method,the traditional auspicious elements applied to daily ceramic,so as to promote the development of traditional culture;The new forms of traditional auspicious elements in daily ceramics are designed to meet the growing aesthetic needs of people.Centering on the application of swallow form in daily porcelain,this paper discusses the design theory,case,design practice and so on.First of all,swallow is the research theme,the swallow form and cultural connotation are analyzed and discussed,so as to grasp the swallow theme of the overall morphological characteristics and emotional color.Collect the literature data of bionic design,learn the relevant theories of morphological bionic design,and according to different angles and purposes of morphological bionic design,divide different types including local bionic and global bionic,concrete bionic and abstract bionic,static bionic and dynamic bionic,and then collect cases according to the three categories for analysis.Secondly,I conducted market research and case analysis on swallow theme design,and learned the methods of form extraction and deduction as well as the forms combined with products,so as to provide practical guidance for the later design practice.Finally,the design practice of this topic,through the preliminary theory,case study and so on to prepare,and then carry out the design of lamps,seasoning cans,storage tanks and other works as well as the physical production.According to the functional requirements of the instrument type,the form obtained after extraction,simplification,deformation and recombination of swallow’s suitable form is applied to the design of daily ceramic products with the application of biomimetic design method and design thinking,and the daily ceramic products with functions,aesthetics and semantics are designed.
