The 21 st century is the era of knowledge economy,knowledge workers can promote the technological innovation of enterprises,and improve the competitiveness of enterprises.They are the important human resources to maintain the sustainable development of enterprises.Although many enterprises have realized the importance of knowledge workers for enterprises’ development and operation,there are still problems in motivating knowledge workers.How to motivate knowledge workers,improve their work efficiency,and let them contribute to the development of enterprises.That is an urgent problem to be solved.Z Sewage Treatment Co.,Ltd.is a knowledge-intensive enterprise with mixed ownership.On the basis of previous studies on incentive strategies of knowledge workers,they author takes Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs,Achievement Need,Reinforcement Theory and Equity Theory as the theoretical basis for research,and makes a thorough and detailed analysis of the current incentive situation in Z Sewage treatment Company,and finds some deficiencies in the process of developing and implementing the incentive strategy for knowledge workers.Following the principles of being fair and justify,being On-demand incentive,combining reward and punishment,being long-held and dynamic improved,in this paper,the author puts forward the incentive strategies,those are: bettering salary incentive,improving promotion incentive,enhancing training incentive,optimizing work incentive and strengthening enterprise culture incentive.There are two possible innovations and contributions in this paper.First,in previous studies on incentive strategies,although some scholars have studied the incentive of knowledge workers in different industries,there are few studies on the incentive of knowledge workers in sewage treatment enterprises.This paper takes the knowledge workers of Z Sewage Treatment Company as the research object,which enriches the research object of incentive strategy and the research content of incentive.Secondly,based on the characteristics and needs of knowledge workers,this paper systematically studies the incentive problems of knowledge workers in sewage treatment enterprises and puts forward targeted improvement strategies,which provides reference and inspiration for sewage treatment industry enterprises,when facing the problems like promoting employees motivation,reducing staff turnover rate,improving staff management and so on.
