The study of the coupling reaction between high reactivity cokes and iron ores can deepen the understanding of the solution loss behavior of cokes in blast furnace.The relationship between coke solution loss and sinter reduction was studied,the evaluation index of coke thermal performance was proposed based on the coupling reaction of coke and sinter.The difference of solution loss behaviors between high reactivity cokes and traditional cokes was studied through the coupling reaction of coke and sinter.The results show that the addition of Ca/Fe compounds increases the sinter-coke coupling reaction rate,and accelerates the process of sinter-coke coupling reaction.The greater the solution loss rate of coke is,the greater the corresponding reduction degree of sinter is.There is a positive linear relationship between solution loss rate of coke and reduction degree of sinter,and the coupling parameters,slope k and intercept b,are proposed.With the increase of coke reactivity(CRI),k gradually decreases while b gradually increases.Furthermore,the coupling coefficient k shows a negative linear relationship with CRI(k =-0.0051 CRI + 0.32),and the coupling coefficient b has a positive linear relationship with CRI(b = 0.145 CRI + 0.43).The analysis of optical microstructures,pore structures,surface morphology and mineral composition for coke before and after the coupling reaction shows that the addition of Ca/Fe compound increases the active sites of coke,which promotes the coupling reaction of coke and sinter.Furthermore,the Ca/Fe compounds have synergetic catalysis effect for the coupling reaction of coke and sinter.The catalytic action of Ca/Fe compounds has great effect on the evolution of the optical microstructures and pore structures during the coupling reaction,resulting in the difference of solution loss behavior between Ca/Fe based high reactivity cokes and traditional cokes.In addition,the study on the coupling reaction of two kinds of metallurgical coke with high and low reactivity and sinter at different temperatures shows that improving the reactivity of metallurgical coke can promote the reduction of iron ores.Figure 30;Table 24;Reference 57...
