| The rise in the volume of municipal solid waste produced as a result of population growth in most municipal areas has resulted in the challenge of establishing areas to be utilized as landfills.AS a result,waste transfer stations are used.Marrakech city,even though it has a well-engineered and managed landfill,is faced with the dilemma of waste collection from the generation points to the final disposal site.Therefore,in this paper,I recommend an approach multi-criterion permitting the selection of Transfer point site for household waste,taking into account environmental,economic,and political constraints,with main Moroccan laws including Law 28.00 Morocco.The method chosen is based on succession three stages:(1)methodical inventory of the environment and associated activities,(2)identification of suitable surfaces,and(3)site selection.At the conclusion of this research,our primary goal has been achieve d,the potential site for the Marrakech Municipal Household waste site was chosen.This research intends to achieve the following objectives the decrease of operation cost by reducing the fuel consumption and the non-productive time losses(emptying the PCV in the landfill).in this study,multi-criteria decision analysis combined with a geographic information system was employed to determine possible waste transfer station sites.The key result established 1 site located within the municipality guidelines.This result can be used by decision-makers for site selection of the waste transfer stations after taking into account other relevant ecological and economic factors. |
