China’s total energy consumption continues to remain high, and the transformation of energy consumption structure is facing tremendous pressure. The resulting environmental pollution is still a major issue facing my country’s future development.Previous studies on the relationship between energy consumption and the economy and the environmental Kuznets curve of energy consumption are still incomplete.Based on previous studies, this article analyzes my country’s current energy consumption and its environmental pollution and economy. The relationship between them will be further studied in order to provide a basis for future energy consumption adjustments. The main research content and conclusions of this article are:(1)The Kuznets curve of total energy consumption is in the left half of the inverted U shape, and has not yet reached the turning point;the fitting curve of total carbon emissions caused by total energy consumption and per capita GDP is an inverted U shape;electricity The fitting curve between consumption and GDP per capita is positive U-shaped,and is in the right half;the relationship between industrial electricity consumption and GDP per capita is in the left half of the inverted U-shaped curve, and is still in an upward phase.(2)Use the Kuznets curve model of panel data to study the relationship between energy consumption and the carbon emissions brought by it and economic development in the four major economic zones in the north and south of the country. The conclusion is as follows: energy consumption and carbon emissions in the north and south have not reached the theoretical turning point value, and the southern region is lower than the north. The total energy consumption in the eastern region will continue to rise, but the energy structure will be more low-carbon;the western region is highly dependent on energy, and the industrial structure is in urgent need of transformation;the energy consumption in the central and northeastern regions will continue to rise, but the growth rate of carbon emissions has tended slow.(3)Research on fossil energy consumption shows that the fitting curve of coal consumption and its carbon emissions is an inverted U shape;the fitting curve of oil consumption and its carbon emissions is currently in the left half of the inverted U shape and is almost linear Increase;the fitting curve of natural gas consumption and its carbon emissions is a positive U-shape.Sulfur dioxide emissions based on coal consumption have an inverted U-shaped curve, that is,with the development of the economy, they have a trend of first increasing and then decreasing;the fitting curve of nitrogen oxide emissions based on petroleum consumption is the right half of the inverted U-shaped curve, namely Nitrogen oxide emissions have entered a stage of decline.Policy recommendations: 1)Control the total energy consumption, optimize the energy consumption structure, and increase the proportion of clean energy;2)Strengthen the coordinated control of energy consumption, air pollutants and carbon emissions;3)Carry out energy consumption and carbon emissions in various regions Differentiated management.
