| From the pre-Qin Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty,China was living in a low-rise and low-sitting lifestyle.People knelt on the ground when enjoying drinking,and wine utensils and food were placed on the food table or a few tables in front of the table.With the introduction of Buddhism,high-type furniture began to appear in people’s life.The height of furniture changed from sitting on the ground to sitting with feet down,which greatly reduced the space occupied by people when feasting.Second,high furniture promoted the change of people’s banqueting means to a certain extent--change from separate dining system to combine dining system,the change of this kind of banqueting means makes the initial scattered seating layout begins to gather to the only table in the middle,reducing the space used when banqueting likewise.The fermentation technology of Chinese rice wine brewing is a process of continuous improvement.From the pre-Qin period to the Song and Yuan Dynasties,the alcohol content of the liquor was constantly increasing,and the alcohol content of the grain distilled liquor appeared in the Yuan Dynasty reached a new height.These factors make what people use wine to provide when banqueting shows smaller and smaller trend,need to use more space to put wine to provide no longer,banqueting space also tends smaller with each passing day.In the early frescoes or painted bricks of the Han Dynasty,you can see the banquets accompanied by large performances of music,dance and various operas.However,in the later paintings of the Q ing Dynasty,it is rare to see people enjoying the banquets with large activities of drinking wine.Based on the images of ancient banquets,this paper analyzes and studies the evolution of ancient C hinese banquets.Firstly,it summarizes the wine culture in C hinese banquets,and summarizes the wine culture in C hinese dynasties.Secondly,the evolution of the techniques and methods of brewing and making yeast in each dynasty was discussed,from the low-alcohol rice wine fermented in the pre-Q in period to the high-alcohol yellow rice wine in the Song Dynasty,and then to the emergence of grain distilled wine in the Yuan Dynasty.The cultural content of people’s drinking in the past dynasties is the focus of the study,and the evolution from space to wine culture is studied in depth.Taking Song Dynasty as the research node,this paper analyzes the layout of people’s banquet space from pre-Qin to Sui,Tang and Five Dynasties as well as after Song Dynasty,including the furniture and drinking utensils used in the banquet space and related activities during the banquet.Finally,the paper makes a comparative analysis of the banqueting space in the low-rise and low-sitting times before the Song Dynasty and the high-rise and high-sitting times after the Song Dynasty,and summarizes the general law of the research on the banqueting space in China. |
