Research On Technological Innovation Strategies Of Taiyuan Chemical Group Coping With Environmental Regulation

After my country’s reform and opening up,the number of people has continued to increase,the social economy has developed steadily,and the public’s demand for natural resources has increased,which has led to tremendous pressure on the natural environment and ecosystem.Resource and environmental issues have become a realistic factor restricting the stable development of my country’s social economy,so environmental protection is imperative.Chemical companies have serious pollution problems,and environmental protection is inseparable.Chemical companies must use technological innovation to transform their industries.In order to properly handle environmental issues,government departments must continue to strengthen environmental constraints and restrictions,which will have a profound impact on the technological innovation of chemical companies,and even involve the company’s transformation and development.In the academic field,there is no consensus on the research on the effect of environmental regulation on technological innovation.Therefore,the following two main types of conclusions emerge,mainly the "Porter Hypothesis" and the traditional school.The former pointed out that environmental regulations can accelerate the company’s technological innovation,improve the company’s economic efficiency and core competitiveness;but the latter pointed out that environmental regulations to a certain extent contain the company’s technological innovation.Therefore,according to the strategic goals of high-quality development of the domestic economy and the current theoretical basis,this article takes the chemical company Taiyuan Chemical Group as the main body of analysis,using case study methods,and in-depth and detailed research on the profound and far-reaching technological innovation of chemical companies brought by environmental regulations influences.In addition,according to the characteristics of chemical companies,it is necessary to study whether environmental regulations can accelerate the company’s technological innovation.This article focuses on exploring the following three parts:(1)What impact will the continuous improvement of environmental regulations have on chemical companies? How strong is the impact?(2)Is the effect of environmental regulations on the technological innovation of chemical companies negative or positive? In what environment will it have a positive impact?(3)Can chemical companies use technological innovation to achieve environmental protection goals and reduce the negative effects of environmental regulations?According to the research results:(1)Environmental regulations have a profound impact on chemical companies.Chemical companies rely too much on natural resources,leading to serious environmental problems.Therefore,when environmental regulations continue to increase,the environmental costs of chemical companies continue to increase,natural resources continue to decrease,which hinder the company’s normal production activities,reduce the company’s economic benefits,and reduce the company’s core Competitiveness.(2)Strengthen environmental regulations and promote technological innovation of chemical companies.The link between environmental regulations and technological innovation of chemical companies follows the "Porter Hypothesis".The external environmental regulations continue to strengthen,even if the company’s environmental protection costs increase and the company’s environmental costs increase,however,the company’s scale of operations continues to expand and the level of profitability is high.At that time,the above external pressure turned into a steady stream of power.The company can use technological innovation to promote energy conservation and emission reduction,obtain product advantages,and also receive government subsidies to further make up for the company’s increased environmental costs.Therefore,the company’s awareness of technological innovation has been continuously strengthened.(3)The technological innovation of chemical companies can speed up energy conservation and emission reduction and reduce overall operating expenses.The company’s technological innovation can not only improve the efficiency of the company’s resource use and avoid pollutant discharge during daily production;it can also increase the mining rate of mineral resources,avoid the ineffective loss of resources,and reduce the burden of resource supply due to enhanced external environmental regulations.
