Consumers’ growing awareness of the concepts of green and low-carbon and the acceleration of economic globalization have promoted the rapid development of transnational green supply chains, which bright new opportunities and challenges to the green transformation and development of Chinese enterprises. As an important part of the transnational green supply chain operation, the green production of export enterprises is not only a significant component of the 13 th Five-Year Plan to create new export advantages with green foreign trade, but also a profound reflection of Xi Jinping’s ecological civilization.Green production can improve the international competitiveness of products. However, the R&D of green technology or the use of cleaning equipment increased manufacturing costs, resulting in insufficient production power for manufacturers. At the same time, frequent international trade frictions, especially the recent Sino-U.S.Trade conflict, have severely interfered with the green exports of Chinese manufacturing companies and affected the participation of Chinese companies in the globalization of green value chains. The cost increase caused by green R&D and tariff barriers is transmitted through the supply chain upstream and downstream, which will interfere with the decision and optimization of the global layout of the supply chain, weaken the competitiveness of products, and ultimately hinder the process of greening the supply chain. Therefore,it is particularly urgent to explore the countermeasures of the supply chain for dealing with the dual superimposed effects of green R&D costs and tariff barriers, which will provide decision-making reference for the green transformation and export upgrade of China’s manufacturing.Based on above,in view of the dual challenges of the supply chain’s green transformation and tariff barrier, this dissertation studies the pricing and coordination of transnational green supply chain. From the perspective of internal supply chain coordination, government intervention, and inter-chain competition, the mechanism of R&D cost and tariff on green supply chain are deeply explored to find a feasible path that can effectively improve the green competitiveness of the transnational supply chain and ease tariff barrier. The main research contents are as follows:First of all, this paper studies the coordination of transnational green supply chain from the perspective of tariff. In the context of fluctuations in import tariff,a coordination mechanism is established based on quantity discount-cost sharing contract, which aims to coordinate the distribution of the costs and benefits of transnational green supply chain.Through analyzing the impact of tariff fluctuations on the coordination mechanism and supply chain decisions and profits, the measures are explored to deal with tariff fluctuations, thereby improving the economic performance and environmental performance of the supply chain system.Secondly, the decision of transnational green supply chain under the dual effect of tariff and subsidy is studied. In the context of fluctuations in import tariff, based on the two different strategies including the manufacturing enterprise for product production cost subsidies and green input cost subsidies and implemented by the government of the exporting country, this paper studies the decision of transnational green supply chain under different subsidy strategies, analyzes the impact of tariff rates and export subsidies on supply chain decisions, and compare the effects of the two subsidy strategies in the tariff environment. Finally, the product selection and pricing problem of two competing supply chains are studied from the perspective of tariffs.Considering price competition and green competition in the supply chain, three chain-chain competition models with different structures are constructed and the effects of supply chain competition intensity, tariff rates, and consumer green preferences of importing countries on the greening process of transnational supply chains are analyzed under the ground of fluctuations in import tariff. The studies have shown that: 1)Quantity discount-cost sharing contract can achieve the coordination of transnational green supply chain and alleviate the adverse effects of tariff barrier.2)The subsidy of exporting governments to manufacturer to a certain extent reduces the impact of tariff barrier. The green input subsidies are better implied for high energy-consuming industries, and the production cost subsidies are better employed for emerging industries.3)Appropriate supply chain competition can expand the scale of product exports and speed up the company’s green transformation;4)Supply chain contract coordination, government Subsidy and chain-chain competition can effectively respond to tariff barrier while promoting the green development of the supply chain. This thesis is an exploration of a new issue that considers both green development and tariff barriers in supply chain management, which reveals the impact mechanism of tariff barrier on the transnational supply chain greening process, and provides theoretical support and practical guidance for the green transformation and upgrading of China’s supply chain Support.
