Study On The Efficiency And Influencing Factors Of Large-scale Pig Breedingin China Under Environmental Constraints

Recently,the outbreak and spread of the "new crown" epidemic at home and abroad has caused frequent problems with frozen meat products.The supply of live pig products in my country is already related to people’s livelihood issues.With the development of my country’s economy and the improvement of large-scale breeding technology,my country’s large-scale pig breeding industry has achieved considerable development.Although my country’s large-scale pig breeding has certain advantages in terms of saving costs and increasing production,it is inevitable that the surrounding environment will also be polluted during the breeding process.So,we ask the question,how to effectively measure the efficiency of large-scale pig breeding? What are the overall characteristics,regional differences,inter-provincial differences,and improvement directions of large-scale pig breeding efficiency obtained by incorporating environmental factors into the evaluation system? How is the convergence between regions? And what factors affect the environmental efficiency of large-scale pig breeding?This article uses the macro and micro data of my country’s pig industry as the most basic data support to analyze the production,consumption and import and export of my country’s pig breeding industry,expounds the layout of China’s pig breeding industry,and points out the problems facing my country’s pig breeding industry;at the same time,The article summarizes the influencing factors of my country’s pig breeding efficiency and highlights the environmental factors restricting the development of my country’s large-scale pig breeding industry.This article uses China’s large-scale pig input and output data from 2008 to 2018 to construct an evaluation model to measure the efficiency of large-scale pig breeding,and analyzes the efficiency of China’s large-scale pig breeding from three perspectives: overall,regional and provincial perspectives: in general,China Considering environmental factors,the efficiency of large-scale pig farming is closer to the actual value,and generally presents a circular development trend of first rising and then falling;among regions,the eastern and central regions are similar to the overall development trend,but the western region shows a "W" trend;from inter-provincial In terms of differences,the efficiency of large-scale pig farming in Hebei,Shanghai,Hunan,Shandong,Sichuan and Yunnan,which considers environmental factors,has reached the maximum value of 1,while other provinces have not reached the maximum value and need to be further improved.The article further analyzes the input and output redundancy of pig farming in these provinces where the breeding efficiency is not optimal,and finds the direction for improvement,that is,in terms of resource input and pollution emissions.In order to explore the status quo of large-scale pig breeding efficiency in different regions considering environmental factors and its future trends,this paper uses σ convergence,absolute βconvergence and conditional β convergence to test large-scale pigs in the country,eastern,central,and western regions that consider environmental factors.Convergence of breeding efficiency.The study concluded that,considering environmental factors,the overall efficiency of large-scale pig breeding in the country and the eastern region has σ convergence.The central region does not have σconvergence,and the western region shows a state of divergence;there is absolute βconvergence,that is,provinces with low large-scale pig breeding efficiency in the region have a faster growth rate than provinces with high large-scale pig breeding efficiency;there are conditions for β convergence across the country,eastern,central and western regions,that is,within the region,The efficiency of large-scale pig breeding in various provinces will converge to its own steady-state level over time.In order to balance the relationship between economic and ecological benefits in the pig breeding industry,and to further improve the efficiency of large-scale pig breeding considering environmental factors,this paper studies its influencing factors and finds the scale of breeding,environmental governance investment,and regional rural economy The level of development has an impact on the efficiency of large-scale pig breeding in consideration of environmental factors.Finally,based on the conclusions drawn from the article’s research,this article puts forward three suggestions: appropriately expand the scale of breeding and improve the support system;increase the promotion of environmental protection policies and formulate reasonable environmental regulations;continue to attach importance to the development of the rural economy and carry out targeted occupations.Education and training.
